From the east through sodden fields, around the south and up from the west. Great views. On way down saw a heron in a pond. Irony. | colazione | 05/03/2023 |
Th bridge others have used to cross the Luggie Water at NS 6822 7284 is being demolished, worker bees hard at it today. Relocated to the same parking as for Heronryhill, to the ENE, and went from there. Soggy pasture then steeply up the E face... and down the same way. Upper section is very unconsolidated. | jonglew | 05/02/2023 |
Up by the path to the south which starts by the railway line. | Andrew Simmons | 18/10/2022 |
From bend to WSW by railway bridge, easy access onto and off bridge, along path and then up to top. | PeterD | 13/05/2022 |
From home, return by bus | hillsman | 04/01/2022 |
First hill of the day. Parked at the bus turning then up past the old industrial buildings. Turn right before the first cottage and then down the muddy path to the infamous bridge. Keep following the path and you'll see the start of the track up the bing. Cut across the field using two parts of the fence that have been previously damaged. Bings still alive and kicking with lots of trees so not sure when the plan to level it is. | JAdair97 | 03/01/2022 |

Another day with razor sharp visibility | hillsman | 18/03/2021 |
For start see hill 19318.For a wee challenge scrambled up the E side then descended by the path on the W side. | bjewing | 15/02/2021 |
Parked at Gartconner PS, path to Waterside and told by pleasant enough garageman that bing is on private land and technically not open to public. My first ascent since 1978 when it was christened Mount Pimps by 4yo nephew. | lordtonult | 10/12/2020 |
Park waterside at the turnout for the bus! Locals park there. Go along road to garage, look for right of way sign at the houses further up (not Ann's!) Take that path down to the river, turn left, pass the famous bridge and the path bends up to pop out into the old compound. Follow the proper track now, bend left and obviously up to the right as it ascends the bing. As others say, excellent views. | Belfarm | 10/11/2020 |
Riverside path then up centre of bing where two guys in running gear were racing each other up and down. I made the high point 118m so a good bit higher than quoted even after allowing for GPS error. | NormanW | 13/10/2020 |
As 49pp. Delightful riverside walk then obvious route 150/200 mts after fenced bridge up bing. Easy ascent with superb views. | Campbell Singer | 09/10/2020 |
Covid-19 walk from home on a day with great visibility. Could see the hills of Arran on the horizon. | hillsman | 13/05/2020 |
From Dumbreck on E side over a bog. Easier by the look of it from W side. Straight up steep side. Tremendous viewpoint, as others have said. Screed down it - or rather binged down it. | sclater | 08/03/2020 |
Parked in Waterside, walked to the Ariana garage. The gates were locked, so I hopped the fence and walked along a field edge to the ramp. It really is a brilliant viewpoint. | Nick Down1 | 17/04/2019 |
Riverside path from Waterside (677731) runs right round to the bottom of - and up- the ramp without going through any fences / gates etc. | 49pp | 24/11/2018 |
Unlikely to be a Tupm for much longer. Fellow at garage said it is to be demolished. Is that the correct term to use for taking away a bing? | russell61 | 22/06/2018 |
See it every day from home so decided I had to climb it. It is indeed a very fine viewpoint. | hillsman | 27/04/2018 |
From Waterside, drive to end of road, park outside very friendly Ariana garage yard. Go down LH side of bus yard, round broken fence and follow blaize track to the top. Great views, dry and mild. | iangalbraith | 29/01/2018 |
From bend by railway bridge to SE. Bridge over the Luggie Water is still closed, obviously no funding has been found to repair it. There are high palisade fences at each end, but these are easily bypassed by ducking under / through the fences to the side where a couple of railings have been removed. Anyone agile enough to climb the hill will get through. Agree with the great views - do climb it on a good day. | Minto | 31/05/2017 |
P just S of railway bridge and over 'closed' bridge. | agentmancuso | 25/03/2017 |
Path from Waterside along by Luggie Water avoids the closed bridge. Top of bing has terrific views all round. | neimcv | 03/03/2017 |
chryston road over bridge to path to the top, great views all around. | robertphillips | 03/02/2017 |
From wsw as per CC and cb. As cb says, fb over river closed as unsafe. Didn't collapse but palisade fence to climb. Bongv well vegetated although summit fairly bare. Nice sunset from top. E Dunbs re completed. Coincidentally met Colin tumping in Fife this am | RHW | 29/01/2017 |
From John Muir Way. Got s far as Pit Road, cut across field before bus depot, climbed fence to summit. Excellent viewpoint | Thearlaichdubh | 25/01/2017 |
With Bert, Reg and Percy. | campagvelocet | 03/01/2017 |
