Up from the east. Finefrosty day | cjo | 31/12/2020 |
On White Horse Trail from the east. Really interesting ancient landscape and read all about Kieller's work afterwards on the web. It seems an anomaly to me the HP is not the top of the tumulus. The tumulus is estimated to be 5,500 years old so, surely, is a permanent part of the landscape. | clivevilla | 17/11/2020 |

From south at dusk a pleasant amble to recomplete Wilts. Natural hp in pasture pretty much as per 25k spot ht with the two tumuli (SU 08722 71416 3m high, SU 08669 71380 4m high) on lower ground | RHW | 23/04/2017 |
A World Heritage Site Tump. Gentle walk up the byway from the south with the children, prior to a day at Avebury and Stonehenge. Summit a Bronze Age round barrow with a ring ditch. | Herbert Anchovy | 20/04/2017 |
Area 39 completed for the third time. | andrew brown | 20/04/2017 |
An exciting day indeed, a visit from Avebury and a crude survey agreed with the 1:25,000 mapped data suggesting that Windmill Hill had a good possibility of being an unrecognised TUMP. A grassy levellish top with conical mound and good views.

interesting ancient tumuli, plus the excitement that it could be a tump! | Denise | 31/03/2017 |
Near actual date. From Avebury. Solo. | Pete West | 20/02/2014 |
Visited this hill top many times in the past when lived in Swindon. This is the earliest date I can be 100% sure of. Love this hill - pre-historcially fascinating, great views of the Ridgeway and surrounding downland and just far enough walk from car parks to ensure it is never busy. | Hillsidenick | 18/12/2011 |
On a very cold a frosty morning, first visit to Avebury. | thesweetcheat | 07/12/2008 |
Lovely little hill with bags of history. May have been up here earlier but this date is earliest I have a GPS track log for. Large tumulus at summit. | jonglew | 25/02/2007 |
