Not ticked. Info only. Stack probably narrowly escapes the eyes of passing hillbaggers on the Orkney Ferry, being just tucked around the corner of Holborn Head, a long mile from the ferry departure at Scrabister. An impressive sturdy looking rectangular block with vertical looking sides, which might give steep good climbing? lots of photos on web and has even been the subject of one of William Daniell's many astounding drawings produced around 1800 ( available to see in the Tate) and part of his Voyage around Britain collection of volumes( now a rare very expensive collectors item) with scenes starting at Lands End, He certainly travelled impressively for the day ( and was a fine artist - with the allowable artistic exaggerations of the day) | Chris Pearson | blank |
