Lidar HP is near S tip (2m Lidar has 5.095m at SE 87353 24514; 1m similar): a number of lower summits; in reality is flat as a pancake in that vicinity - and significant reprofiling elsewhere as far as I know. NB local byelaw outlaws access until 28 Feb and will be busy with breeding birds in spring & summer, and need a high spring tide to get into the water - so a narrow window. Easy paddle across 30 mins before HW, from SE871250, parking at Faxfleet road-end SE865243.RHW09/03/2020
As per RHW's post. 1.30am start to the day from home to catch a 6am high tide. Slack water; easy access to the river and a firm landing. Island has high reeds although not too dense but renders it impossible to spot a high point by eye.jonglew09/03/2020
pre-dawn, 1 hour before a spring HW with Jon G and Rob W, from Faxfleet. Short, easy crossing in kayaks, no mud, no birds. Went to what looks like high point on Lidar but summit could be anywhere in the reeds.AndyS09/03/2020
