Priddellau (Esgair Nantybeddau) > Clawdd Du Mawr > Blaen Rhestr > Esgair y Llyn > Pant-llwyd > Pant-llwyd (old GR) from GR: SN 85242 65497 | ronaldo333 | 02/09/2023 |
From the parking area at the north end of Craig Goch reservoir in the Elan valley to do this relocated summit, Twelve and half miles in under Five hours returning the same way(a long walk for one summit that is marginally higher than the other 549 point) but this is my last Welsh Dewey. | WAYNE ROWLETT | 13/08/2023 |
Waded through deep grass then ATV tracks to reach the northern summit of Pant-llwyd from the old top.

Parked at the car park at Pont ar Elan (903 715). Walked the 6km along the ancient road to the s5 Clwadd Du Mawr, then the short distance across to Blaen Rhestr, the first Dewey and by far the best summit of the day. There followed a cross country route to the second Dewey, Pant-llwyd, then back tracking along the minor ridge to the old GR summit. Next south down the gently undulating ridge to Llethr Hir. Then the hardest part of the day, through mainly trackless deep grass across the intervening valley and up the third Dewey of the day, Priddellau. Finally, back to and along the ancient road. Apart from the section between Llethr Hir and Priddellau, the rest of the route was mostly easy going due to the good network of trods and quad bike tracks, and of course the ancient road. Altogether, 24km with 600m ascent, taking 6h 40m. | silveracorn_alan | 03/08/2022 |

from blaen rhestre then to south top | underhill | 01/08/2020 |
From the NE on the track. When I got to the farm the lady farmer told me that it was a private track but allowed me to carry on and told me to go right up on to the ridge at the end of the track. There is an ATV path more or less along the ridge. Recompleted my Welsh Dodds after this summit relocation. | clivevilla | 14/07/2020 |
Parked at picnic site at 903715 & up Clawdd Du Mawr, Priddellau & Blaen Rhestr. From Blaen Rhestr, rejoined track & then NW across tussocks to unmarked summit (lost Dewey status 04/20). Visited alternative summit (regained Dewey status 04/20) which was much easier than expected; good trod & then well-used ATV track to within a few yards of summit. Returned along ATV track for about 600m & then SE along another ATV track, past a prominent cairn, across stream just N. of Llyn Cerrigllwydion Uchaf & back down track to car.
