From Gerlan, via Yr Elenderrymark14/09/2019
Started from Gwern Gof Isaf Campsite, via Ffynon Llugwy reservoir and East ridge. Return via Craig Llugwy. With Mike Rafferaffemeister26/08/2019
Hill 5 - and the day is looking to become a memorable one as the weather holds and the sky remains blue. Yr Elen here we come.DanMaisieBex24/08/2019
Round of Carnedd Llewelyn, Pen yr Helgi Du, Pen Lithrig Wrach and Craigiau Gleision from Gwern Goch Isaf. Up the hydro road then steep but decent path E of reservoir up onto SE ridge. A short but awkward scramble followed, not too steep but bare rock with weak holds. Thereafter gentle sloped short grass.Topographer5724/08/2019
A hot sunny and humid day giving superb views throughout the walk. With E from Gern Gif Isaf Farm (parking £2) up grassy paths as far as Pen yr Helgi Du then solo. E didn’t fancy ridge and rock band and I think it was the sensible option - tough! Continued up to Carnedd Llywelyn, Carnedd Dafydd and Pen yr Ole Wen. Very steep and long descent to Afon Lloer and Glan Dena.Beeliner23/07/2019

Stats: 6hrs15, 21.4km, 1,340m ascent. Weather: glorious sunshine for most of day, although clagg on tops. Notes: initial walk in a bit of a slog.millionmts01/07/2019
Continued on from climbing Pen yr Ole Wen, Carnedd Dafydd to this the highest mountain in the Carnedau range. Really steep gravelly climb, zig zagging up to a flat open summit. Very exposed and rocky. Superb views of North Wales on a clear day, can see Shropshire in very far distance and all the great mountains of Wales.giant_hiker22/06/2019

Perhaps the most strenuous CT (E&W) with a steep climb up from roadside parking east of Llyn Ogwen and a steep descent south from the top. Abandoned the extras as too knackered.Newton Maximus21/05/2019

Up from Gern Gof Isaf farm to Pen yr Helgi Du first, Carnedd Llywelyn, Carnedd Dafydd and Pen yr ole Wen. Very steep and long dissent to south west.andrew.morel28/02/2019
Second visit to Llewelyn as part of a Carneddau one-way walk north to south with Dave. Parked Dave's car at Glan Dena on the A5 (SH 669 604) then in my car to Abergwyngregyn and the small carpark at SH 675 716. A day of two halves: before lunch it was sunny and breezy with clear views; but in the afternoon low cloud and squally rain blew in and the wind increased to 40mph gusting up to 50mph - arduous walking into the wind. Route was Drum, Foel Fras, Carnedd Gwenllian, Foel Grach, Carnedd Llewelyn, Carnedd Dafydd and Pen Y Ole Wen. Started about 10.15; finished about 6pm, slowed by the wind.Skip16/02/2019
