Did as Martin Beetham's last munro party. Weather very wet. Didn't see much at all from the ridge.JulieB26/05/2019
Having been defeated by a massive cornice on the N 'nose' in 2016, went via Bealach Easan and up Corr na Beinne, but difficult to pre-determine a complete route up the NW flank as the bealach is too close to the hill - went up ascending TR R, then an ascending TR back L, generally steep with one short very steep bit of hard neve.Isbjorn Winter Round11/02/2019
Beautiful walk in along the banks of a stream in spate then a tiring pathless ascent on steep grass to a wonderful ridge. Up and over a rocky top down and up again steeply to summit. Back the same way. Clear, sunny, wonderful views. Amazing.Langbank 10/10/2018
Up Gleann-leac-na-muidhe and then over Stob na Fhuarain before ascending to the summit. Clear, sunny day but windy on the tops. Back the same way.Windy Corner27/05/2018

Along track from Achnacon on A82, following tracks by Allt na Muidhe to the last woodland, then diagonally up slopes of Aonach Dubh a' Ghlinne to the bealach N of Stob an Fhuarain, then along ridge over Stob an Fhuarain to Sgurr na h-Ulaidh, left summit westwards, turning N with fence line towards Bealach Easain (difficult descent over steep wet rocks), then down to Allt na Muidhe and track on east bank back to A82kdbennett23/09/2017

From Glen Coe, path not very good after track finishes. Took a fairly direct line into Coire Dubh and then winding up between the crags to the Stob an Fhuarain col. This was steep but straightforward, a walk not a scramble, mostly grassy slopes with a little scree.alda10/10/2016
With Andrew McCluskey, Lily and Hibbert following the WH route. Steep grass and bouldery slopes. Occasional cloud and rain and then great clear views of Glencoe and Etive hills and to Mull. 6 hoursalexmaclennan12/07/2016
2nd day of our Glencoe trip (with Paul & Adam). Adams idea as it was a Munro he needed to bag. Good walk with some really good views from the top. Fairly long walk in/out via landrover track then following the stream up, before breaking off to the left and hitting the ridge line. Good weather as well. Descent on the other side of the Munro was ok with a bit of a hairy bit half way down. I believe its known as the bad step - was ok but can see how it would be dangerous in the wet.scholesy04/06/2016
Trad route, over intermediary, but final 50m to top was heavily corniced - not passable and ground to either side was steeper and exposed.Isbjorn Winter Round24/02/2016

Group of 4 turned back on steep snow slopes just a few minutes away from the summit but I kicked my way vertically up using ice axes but not crampons as snow was deep and sugary. Lots of rime on top.signyred18/02/2014

With Jim on a pretty decent day. Up via road with it's dodgy signs about 'gardens not being a right of way' >:/ East off the path up hillside, over Fhurain and a lunch break prior to steep ascent to Ulaidh. Off NW between crags (dodgy in snow w/o crampons) before heading back to path and out. 15.2km, 1180m, 7hr55.bowzi31/03/2013

With friends. From Glen Coe to Sgurr na h-Ulaidh approaching from the north. It was very misty on the top.pwbellarby09/06/1991
This worked too well as a plan for avoiding Bank Holiday crowds. We saw no one until 1600hrs and they were ascending. It was nice to be able to start from the Clachaig, where we were staying, walking up Gleann na Muidhe to access the mountains. I decided that an ascent of Coir na Beinne from the bealach to its N would give a better walk than the one in the SMC's Munros guide book. It did, but I was surprised by a difficult step over low crags above the bealach. This was negotiated with easy scrambling but would have caused considerable anxiety in descent. With Petepwheeler28/05/1990
Up to col then over top and up Munro. Cam down west then north slowly in light snow conditions. SS15/04/1989
Unlogged summit climbed while living / holidaying in Scotland between 1972 and 1987. No recollection of this hill but ticked on the map and probably climbed from Glen Etive with Beinn Fhionnlaidh while at Tyndrum caravan.BURGESS31/08/1987

In Visitor Centre: Me:'Can you tell me if there is any stalking around here today please? A: 'No.There's no stalking here. You cant go stalking here' Me:'No -we want to go hill walking' A: 'No-you cant go walking its too wet. You will be up to your knees' Thanked them and left without telling them I was equipped with new yeti gaiters. With Mark up steep scrabbly N ridge of Aonach Dubh into clag Then along ridge over lower tops . Some sort of wearisome lurgi came over me; feeling washed out but plodded on as you do. Down rubbly scree to N and easier grass down valley and extended forest track. Drove to Loch Lomond YH for night last few beds - then next day dropped Mark on train at Penrith and me back to Barrow.Chris Pearson25/05/1985

From Fionnlaidh. Followed fence posts downhill to top of crag and got stuck. And again and again!. Had to slide down on backside with very nasty moments to get to col. Left pack and followed posts to M Bhuridh col. Next 1200' was very steep on heather with tricky rock bands. Mist clammed down on arrival at top. 16.25. Visited both tops.
