Up the Llanberis path to Snowdon then back off over Lechog and back to meet the track lower down.JulieB30/11/2019
Llanberis falls through Cwm Dwythwch west side of Llyn Dwythwch, ridge between Cwm yr Hafod and Cesig. Moel Eilio, Foel Gron, Foel Goch, Moel Cynghorion. Snowdon Ranger Path to Snowdon, Crib-y-Ddysgl, along the north ridge above Cwn Glass to Llanberis Path. Along the ridge to Llechog. Down Llanberis Path ridge.ByronHaywood18/11/2019

Started in Llanberis. Followed the Llanberis Path until the track goes through a gate, shortly after this is turned left and made a bee-line up the steep grassy bank until i got onto the ridge. As others have said great scenery from up there and much quieter (only passed 2 runners coming down) - easy to just follow the fence line and sheep track over the various ups and downs until you get to the rocky summit of Llechog. Worked my way down from the summit to rejoin the main path up to the top of Snowdon - would recommend as an alternative route from Llanberis.Cap_Thunderbolt21/07/2019

From Llanberis.Started up the Llanberis Path, then where the path goes through a gate I turned left to follow a wall up onto the ridge. Better scenery than the main path, but hard work with ups and downs, bogs and scrambles. Continued over Snowdon, Lliwedd and Gallt y Wenallt, and down to Pen y Pass. A long day. Missed the last bus back to Llanberis, so phoned a taxi from the YH(£15)andy6315/05/2019

From Llanberis Youth Hostel. Moel Eilio, Fron Goch, Foel Goch, Moel Cynghorion, Bwlch Cwm Brwynog, Llechog, Tryfan. North ridge from Llechog via Tryfan is a much better option than the normal Llanberis path, with superb views down into Nant Peris.Winterfloodian05/09/2018
From the Snowdon Ranger car park. Moel Cynghorion, Snowdon, Llechog, Down the Llanberis path and back across to the Snowdon Ranger car park. Very wet, very windy and very miserable!!Alunrees3304/09/2017
Llanberis, Moel Eilio, Foel Gron, Foel Goch, Moel Cynghorion, Snowden Ranger path, Yr Wyddfa, Garnedd Ugain, Llechog, Lanberis. Sunny day, a few showers, intermittent mist at summit. Dave and Lindsey.Skip03/06/2017
Nipped down from Garnedd Ugain after traverse of Crib Goch to nab the hill.Cas-gwent03/05/2017
Continuation from Carnedd Y Ffiliast North top. Descent on Mtb through Dinorwic slate quarry/mine and parked up at mountain railway carpark where bicycle was easily secured. Having previously only walked down the Llanberis path I had forgotten how unpleasantly steep the tarmac section was. Loads of folk about on what was a hot sunny day.left the path at the mid point and then followed rails up to Llechog col. Easy clamber up from there on to sloping summit. I'd had certain misgivings about Welsh Nutall completion here but in fairness its a grand spot. Some Nuttall tops really are tiresome. Llechog it could be said is worthy of an ascent in its own right.stig_nest23/08/2016
detour off Snowdon horseshoe walk down from Garnedd Ugain to Llechog and back up llanberis path to Snowdonunderhill04/06/2016
The Pen-y-Pass car park was “llawn” by 9.15 when I drove past so I parked in Llanberis and caught the bus to Pen-y-Pass and took the Pyg track and then the path up to Crib Goch which rapidly became a scramble. The ridge walk was exhilarating to say the least. This was definitely the hardest I've done (not that I've done them all) and definitely a lot harder than Striding Edge. Although I was on my own, I rapidly caught up the people in front and, since you can't really overtake, we ended up as a group of about 10 people. Crossed the ridge with a combination of walking, sitting and standing on lower ledges. After an easy section, another scramble up Crib y Ddysgl (but I was an expert by now) and then down the grassy slopes to the main Snowdon path, stayed with the railway after Clogwyn Station to Llechog and then back down to the Snowdon path for a rapid descent. Had a well-earned beer in Llanberis.tsharp02/06/2016

On a round from Llanberis (Nuttall's walk 3.2). Veered left off the Llanberis-Snowdon path at Halfway House cafe. Nice rocky outcrop that looks quite dramatic from some angles, and insignificant from others.jonglew25/10/2014

Estimated date - I definitely went there on the litter picking trip that I volunteered four because I did all the high ground as we descend the area around the path. I may have visited on my second 3000s trip as well.Aimless Rambler31/10/2012
Following the Nuttalls route, the weather held although Snowdon nitself was only clear for a couple of hours. Some stiff, if straightforward climbing. Good day.SS26/08/2012

After knackering my knee on Moel Eilio walk the previous day, chose this as an easy option. Ascent via the Llanberis path to Snowdon summit, then back down via Llechog and the north ridge. Terrific views of Llanberis Pass and the Crib Goch, no other people seemed to come this way despite the good weather.thesweetcheat12/06/2012
