Parked the hire car in car park off the R759 just east of Lough Tay grid ref 170073. Walked there and back via Wicklow Way - mostly on railway sleepers laid to counteract the boggy land, a very effective method to create a dry path! Excellent summit with 360 degree views. Had planned on doing Mullaghcleeevaun today but on crossing the top of the waterfall fell in and got saturated. Drove around trying to find a pair of socks and ended up doing DJouce on our way back to Dublin. Was a fabulous day for it and the rain kept ofLizzie Murray13/04/2012

a, with wife, mist and rain, 7.1 miles, from cp on the r759, followed the wicklow way up onto white hill and into the mist, from the railway sleepers we took a clear path up to Djouce summit, then continued round towards a col, crossed peat hagsand climbed up onto the summit of war hill. returned to the col and the coffin stone, a re ascent of djouce and the path back to the wicklow way.rum doodle 12/10/2008
