4th top of 11 on a 24km traverse from Beddgelert forest (intersection with A4085 at Pont Cae Gors). Continuation from Castell, where I realised that I had lost my Orange Beanie so had to rely on my buff, sun hat and coat hood! Passed by 456m spot heading South then Sw up the ridge. Continuation to Moel yr Ogof...Dazingdale28/09/2023

Walked up Hebog from Beddgelert, then along the tops to Moel Lefn. There is a clear path continuing on to Cwm Twrysgl and then the footpath is fairly well marked but boggy back into the woodland, down to the railway line and back to Beddgelert.andrewroberts03/04/2023

Moel yr Ogof and Moel Lefn from Bedgellert along access road to Cwm Clach and then followed the yellow arrows all the way up to the stile at the top edge of the forest. Easily up to the ridge, quite rough and rocky over Moel yr Ogof then easily to the twin tops of Moel Lefn. Down easily South and then South East to access stile.dickscroop26/12/2021
From Moel yr Ogof. Descended north then east from Bwlch Cwm-trwsgl through Beddgelert Forest. RoW was very rough, boggy and overgrown for about 1k traversing north of Castell ridge. KeithByTheC21/07/2021
Last of 3 on circuit form forest car parkMark Sims27/06/2021
Parked at the end of Cwm Pennant and followed the ROW as far as the base of Y Gyrn, scrambling over loose slate to the summit. The section over to Castell was equally challenging on rough terrain, but did at least enable a reasonable ascent up the NE flank of Moel Lefn. It was straightforward from here, along a well worn ridge path over Moel yr Ogof, Moel Hebog, and a slightly less well defined path to Bryn Banog. The subsequent descent to the old slate quarries below added historical interest and a sense of what former times around these parts meant for the working quarryman. The ROW to Tyddyn-mawr was boggy in places, but the great wee cafe in the cottage at the end of this former quarry path gave ample time to rest soggy feet and recharge the batteries. The walk back up Cwm Pennant is fabulous if you stick to the former quarry track route (black dashed line on 1:50,000 OS Map). 6.5 hrs.summitter26/06/2021

Moel Hebog, Moel yr Ogof and Moel Lefn descending through forest.noxibis19/04/2019
8.2 mile circular from middle of 3 roads in Cwm Pennant, followed fairly non-existent path through farmland to access land then ascended through Cwm Llefrith to col, very steep there and back onto Moel Hebog following trail by wall, afterwards followed nice trail over Moel Yr Ogof and Moel Lefn, rocky in places, descended to foot of Y Gyrn into the old mining area west then followed sketchy footpaths through Cwm Pennant back to car. Hot and sunny but quite hazy so could only just make out the outlines of Snowdon, Crib Goch, Cnicht and Moelwyn Mawr but couldn't see much further, a few people about. Earlier that day bagged Moel-Y-Gest in even hazier weather.DanTrig17/04/2019

Today myself and TMD were in the area for a walk of approximately 10 miles climbing the 783m high Moel Hebog, and continuing along the ridge to Moel-Yr-Ogof and Moel Lefn in a circular route starting from Beddgelert, ascending the steep route up and returning through the valley. There was a little cloud on the hill but it lifted quite high eventually and we got some views over Snowdonia and enjoyed our first proper hill climb of the year.meltdiceburg22/01/2016

Moel Hebog, Moel yr Ogof, Moel Lefn and unlisted Y Gyrn. Low cloud all day attended by morning intermittent drizzle and afternoon constant drizzle/rai with moderate winds. It was only a short hop from Moel yr Ogof to the day’s third summit, Moel Lefn, from which the whole of the Nantlle Ridge, including the Jubilee Tower on Mynydd Tal-y-mignedd, was clearly visible – though still no sign of Snowdon across the valley. The descent from Moel Lefn was tricky, crossing bouldery ground and fences, and in hindsight the better route would have been to have returned over Moel yr Ogof. There was then an intricate network of vehicle tracks criss-crossing the plantation, but I took a straight line down and with only one wrong turning emerged at the campsite.peter4lc05/04/2003
