From Llyn Gwynant campsite which has a excellent path up to Bwlch y Rhediad saving the need for a car park or bus, just over nine mile visiting in the summits of Carnedd y Cribau, Moel Meirch and Yr Arddu taking Six and a quarter hours. | WAYNE ROWLETT | 09/08/2022 |
4/5 Parked in the road side parking area at the end of the public road at SH 696 512. Followed RoW up past Coed Mawr, up to the old sheep fold at SH 676 525. Then small track to the ridge near Bwlch Maen Pig. Headed north along the ridge to Carnedd y Cribau, and on to Clogwyn Bwlch y maen. Turned round and followed ridge back to the col at Bwlch y Rhediad, then south up to Cerrig Cochion, and Moel Meirch. At the tarn crossed the fence and headed SE along the ridge of Yr Arddu, and down to the RoW, which I followed back to the car. A small, clear, albeit often very wet track most of the way. A round trip of 17km with 930m ascent in 6 hours. | silveracorn_alan | 14/04/2022 |
A round of Moel Meirch, Ysgafell Wen North top, Ysgafell Wen and Druman. Lost path in ascent of Moel Meirch which cost me time but not much difficulty. Ridge with diversions to each of tops fairly straightforward but initial lost time meant I had to pass on Allt-Fawr - left for another day. Descent line from Druman not clear to start with but a very good path from point where it turns sharply tyo west. | dickscroop | 13/01/2022 |

Route from Dolwyddelan. W along main road then by castle. Took path NW by Ceunant-y-Garnedd, but ford across stream was in spate so continued NNW and along N of forest. Ascending traverse steadily WNT to reach col just E of Clogwyn Bwlch-y-maen. Continued to Clogwyn Bwlch-y-maen then on to Carnedd y Cribau and rocky/wet route to the fine summit of Moel Meirch. Descended to NE end of Llyn Edno and then headed easily NE to summit of Yr Arddu. Descended NE along ridge to reach path to the road and rejoin the ascent route. | RobertP | 30/10/2021 |

11.2 mile walk from end of Blaenau Dolwyddelan road on sunny day with high cloud, walked up lane through Coed Mawr farm climbing on good track then followed pathless route up onto Yr Arddu followed small trail to summit, pathless route towards Llyn Edno and trail to Moel Meirch summit, headed south back to Llyn Edno and onto Ysgafell Wen North Top and Ysgafell Wen (lovely and grassy), onto Moel Druman and followed easy grassy trails to Allt-Fawr, by this time the cloud started pouring onto the ridge behind us, left Allt-Fawr in a hurry down to Iwerddon on trail and then pathless across to Moel Dyrnogydd, followed lane over Blaenau Tunnel (footpath on map doesn't exist)back to car. Only saw two fisherman at Llyn Dynogydd all day. Very underrated area of Snowdonia. After walk headed home via Mynydd Nodol. | DanTrig | 07/06/2017 |

An interesting rocky summit. Parked on the bend near Bryn Bedd and although the path is a little indistinct at times it climbs steadily to the col at 663501 for an easy ascent to the rocks. With GB. | bolton | 14/04/2015 |
Parked by sharp bend on minor road at SH63702 49442 (Room for 2 or 3 cars) Track to Hafodydd Brithion Headed E up faint paths to the bwlch N to the summit which requires a short scramble. (PM) | gerrybowes | 14/04/2015 |
From the main road above Hafod Rhisgl up right of way to col then up to Moel Meirch (path from south to summit). From there to stile a little to south and on round to Yr Arddu on easy ground. Followed ridge for about half a mile then descended directly to footbridge over tussock grass. Followed right of way for a while before cutting up to ridge of Carnedd y Cribau and on to summit. Returned by fence line and right of way to car. Very hot for April - great views. | SS | 06/04/2015 |
Start~ Hafodydd Brithion. 637495. Followed the sketchy RoW with the eye of faith, high up above the stream on the right bank, eventually coming up to the bwlch by Llyn Edno. Then climbed north to the summit, strong winds and lying snow hampered progress. We then headed east to Yr Arddu. Great, lonely area. With Wombourne. | steve hudson | 02/03/2015 |
Parked at GR 637495, room for a few cars. Followed a track past a farm house then out onto open hillside on a faint path to the bwlch by Llyn Edno. A short climb took us to the rocky summit. We then walked across to Yr Arddu, returned to the bwlch then back to car. A bitterly cold and strong wind with a lot of lying snow made for hard going. With SH. | wombourne | 02/03/2015 |
Agree with the adulation bestowed on this peak. Splendid. | ngthack | 16/01/2015 |
