From Glenachulish car park, horseshoe, #7 of 7, revisit, fun descent of Schoolhouse (NE) Ridge, a few little scrambly downclimbs to round off a superb sunny circuitRHW28/06/2021
From Sgorr Dhonuill west top. Extended stop on the summit of Sgorr Dhearg. Descended ridge via Beinn Bhan, some awkward bits and very long but probably the finest ridge on the whole mountain. Would be better as an ascent. The weather, sustained ridge walking, first-rate scenery and company made for one of the best mountain days in my experience.Wycombe Wanderer28/06/2021
Rob's Simm completion walk. continued on over the two Munros and top. 16 plus three dogs.jenx28/06/2021
With Martin via Schoolhouse Ridge. Blue sky day but greasy rock from days past. Generally a basic Grade 1 except small section soon after initial scrambling, which had loose rock and rounded, blocky holds - easily a Grade 2 or even higher. Stupendous summit views.iangpark02/10/2020
fantastic day out running with Brian Smith. Early start but got brilliant views all the way. Part of the horse shoe loop.Kevthecat01/09/2020

A cracking day up Beinn a’ Bheithir today with David Hillis, a majestic mountain above Ballalchulish with two Munros and one Munro Top. Starting from the Co-op in Ballachulish, we made our way up the brutally steep shoulder of Sgorr Bhan (947m) a Munro Top, then west to Sgorr Dhearg (1024m) the day’s first Munro. There was a big drop then ascent to Sgorr Dhonuill (1001m) the second Munro, with the return via the Geann a’ Chaolais forest, which had been recently felled, 09:25hrs all in. It was dry all day and by the time we reached the Top it was sunny with a strong breeze. Stunning views from Sgorr Dhonuilll across Loch Linnhe to Lismore and Mull. Though a bit hazy, Ben More on Mull and the Cullin ridge on Skye were visible.chillyman812/07/2020
Sgorr Bhan, Sgorr Dhearg, Sgor Dhonuill from Ballachulish. Descended Sgorr Dhonuill to the west then into Gleann a' Chaolais as the normal path was closed for forestry operations.Geoff Briggs17/11/2019
Via the excellent Schoolhouse Ridge. Was hoping for snow but it was more like a summer's day, albeit a very windy one.Wheelsy22/02/2019
From Ballachulish. With Chris W, Doug W. Path up Beinn Bhan. Snow and cloud from 800m, ice axe out. Not too bad, no need for crampons, but wind picking up a bit and getting rather rocky in places so conservatively stopped here. Back by same route.Owen B19/02/2019

From Ballachulish (NN 08359 58451) - Beinn Bhan - Sgorr Bhan - Sgorr Dhearg - Sgorr Dhonuill. Returned back to the col between Sgorr Dhearg & Sgorr Dhonuill then north across boggy ground and through the forest following the new descent path. Short walk along the A82 back to the start.david23020120/08/2018
