En route to Mweelrae, before continuing around horse show. Parked near bridge to east and followed forest track west along river, around western forest section then up grassy slope to ridge in good weather.Denise 26/06/2023

Staying at Cleggan. Solo. Attempt at Mweelrea, Ben Bury and Ben Lugmore. Started by using forest tracks from Delphi Resort. These provide an easy way through the forested way on the approach from the SW. At the end of the mature forest was tempted to follow a newly gouged out track and then head towards the SE Spur of Mweelrea. Not a good choice as the land is full of tussocks obscured by much vegetation making progress slow. Much better progress up the steepish slopes to the summit of Mweelrea SE Spur. By now thick mist descended on the tops so I retreated. Found a better route for the return, keeping close to Sruhaunbunatrench before joining the forest tracks back to Delphi Resort.pwbellarby08/07/2017
On climb to Mweelrea. The point at which I finally thought I might make it! Toughness of this mountain is in the lower slopes the walking higher up is good.nickywood103/09/2015
