fa, solo, 13 miles, clear and sunny, from newly by taxi, minor road then track out to black mtn ne top, peat cuttings, clermont hill, out to anglesey mtn, good views to the mourners, back to the minor road & up black mtn and meet a non talkative rambling group, carnavaddy, windy gap and up to foxs rock (now has an ale named after it!), then along the ridge, the raven rocks, eagle rocks, fine out crops and tours marked ridge to slieve foye summit, descent trough out crops, then an old path to carlingford village and bus back to newry and the train home. | rum doodle | 13/09/2008 |
