A great walk on a wonderfully clear late summers day - extensive views all round. As part of loop of the 5 Cadair peaks from Minffordd. (As peak this is well worth the short detour)woodse09/09/2009

Welsh 3 peaks challenge. Dan and I pushed on to this one, very easy from Cadair Idris, although any uphill now was a chore. Walked back to Cadair, where rest of group would not carry on and turned back, missed out on Mynydd Moel, damn it!davecnash12/07/2009

Also decided to take in 'the Saddle' while on our way back off Cadair Idris. Fantastic views down towards Lyn y Gadair. The summit is quite rocky. There is a path off the summit back onto the Pony path, just follow the cairns. However, the rocks underfootNESW02/05/2009

Start ~ 658142, Llynnau Cregennen. Took the Ffordd Ddu track W before climbing steeply up Braich Ddu and then following the edge round on to Craig-y-llyn. Continuing along the ridge we passed over Tyrrau Mawr before picking up the Pony Path to to the summit of Cadair Idris, via Cyfrwy. Returned via the Pony Path and Lanes. On traverse of Cadair Idris tops from Dolgellau: Gau Craig to Braich Ddu including Cyfrwy. Then down to Arthrog. Sunshine but also brief patches of cloud on the tops, hazy, typical nice summer day on the hills. A long-awaited, long planned walk even to the detail of driving up the road towards Bwlch Goch, 25 mins walk from Dolgellau, to ensure catching the last bus back. It took 8 hrs. Highly recommended (6 Nuttalls).pwheeler31/08/1996
