The Cheviot Group from Langleeford. A clockwise route around the dale head. Nice and dry peat underfoot, but still a big and tiring round, especially due to the bash through the heather out and back to new top for me, Great Standrop. The remainder all being revisits, Langlee Crags, Hedgehope Hill, Comb Fell, Cairn Hill, Cairn Hill West Top, Auchope Cairn, and finally back over the flagstones to The Cheviot. Windy but warm in the sun. 24km with 1300m ascent, taking me 7h 40m.silverwolf_alan27/05/2023

With E. From Langleeford, via Harthope Burn, Scotsman's Knowe, Cairn Hill, diverted to bag Cairn Hill West Top (Hangingstone Hill) and the featureless heather moor summit in Scotland, returning to Cairn Hill then continuing along Pennine Way to The Cheviot and our second historic county summit of the day back in England! Descended via The Cheviot North East Top and Scald Hill. Wide grassy path back down to Langleeford. No views as summits covered in low cloud.Beeliner03/05/2022

2 of 6: From The Cheviot and again from the west top. With Karen.ChrisR12/10/2021
On the first day of a long weekend visit to Haggerston Castle Caravan Park, Northumberland I headed back over the border for some of the Cheviot Hills. Starting at Cocklawfoot I went up Windy Gyle (619m) a Donald, with along a stone pitched path within the Northumberland National Park and up to Cairn Hill West Top (743m) a Donald Top, more a bump on the way up to The Cheviot, but classified as a hill, since it right on the border. By this point the overcast but dry weather had been replaced with mist and no visibility for the final ascent up a stone flagged path to the Cheviot (815m), a Marilyn. I then retraced my steps back to Cairn Hill West Top and then down Auchope Rigg, with a wee stop at the shelter, 07:10hrs all in.chillyman810/09/2021

Circular route from parking area at Langleeford: Hedgehope Hill, Comb Fell, Cairn Hill, Cairn Hill West Top, The Cheviot, then back to Langleeford via Scald Hill. Super sunny day with dry conditions which made easier work of areas of blanket bog on Hedgehope Hill & Comb Fell. I met a basking viper just above parking area on my return to Langleeford!Cas-gwent18/07/2017
Cheviot horseshoe anticlockwise, including a quick detour to Auchope Cairn. Still a bit boggy at both sides of Comb Fell, I wouldn't want to try this one without this week's heatwave!the_adam24/06/2017
