A 26k clockwise round from Clennel, then on to Cushat Law where I made mistake of descending to forest track which is choked with windthrow.NormanW23/03/2024
13 mile hike starting across the river from shillmoor.. this one wasnt even part of the plan but seeing it was only half a mile from the track I thought rude not toThe-Z-Man01/01/2024
From Wedder Leap car park via Uswayford, on to Cushat Law and return by same route. No easy track to avoid return via Bloodybush Edge summit.webmaster29/09/2023
Hartside Farm > Linhope > Low Bleakhope > High Bleakhope > Bloodybush Edge > Cushat Law > Salters Road > Alnhammoor > Hartside Farm. Solo walk. Fine but largely overcast day with a fair breeze. Not the most exciting hills so no surprise I only saw two other walkers at a distance.johnkaysleftleg09/08/2023
Bloodybush Edge, Yarnspath Lawkeithouk07/08/2023
From Wedder Leap car park: Middle Hill, the Middle, Bloodybush Edge and Cushat Law. Overcast day, difficult walk due to blisters and a virus. Abandoned plans to include Windy Gyle and will return another day.Lazylizzie05/07/2023
Parked at Hartside and made my way to Weather cairn via Little Dod, continuing on to Cushat law and Bloodybush edge before dropping down to salters road and the climb up Comb fell finishing with long walk balk to the car via Linhope, Eighteen and half mile in Seven and half hours.WAYNE ROWLETT25/06/2023

From Yarnspath Law across the col. Went through a gate and into long heather and tussocky ground, evantually crossing to the S side of the barbed wire topped fence, where a good if sometimes boggy path, took us to the top. Lovely views all round. Descended on the path back to the col, then N to Uswayford, staying outside the farm and across the bridge just to the north. Back round to Barrowburn on the good track.LizH13/05/2023
From Barrowburn via Rowhope Burn. Meant to bag Windy Gyle but wasted time in the forest after Davidson's Linn. Bridleway impassable due to Arwen storm treemageddon. Managed to get up to the Border for a peek at Bonnie Scotland. Then back in the gloom.Pete Pozman07/12/2022
From Alwinton, via Clennel Street, descent into Kidlandlee Dean Road int Kidland Forest. Follow forest track to Milkhope, round Dryhope Hill to Black Butt. Followed fence line to Cushat Law and on to Bloodybush Edge. On to Yarnspath Law and descent into forest via, Whiteburnshank, Nettlehope Hill, Peat Law, and Wholehope. Descent into Alwinton via Clennell Street.raymooremanx03/09/2022
Walked up from Barrowburn via Fairhaugh with a short diversion over Kyloe Shin. Track from Fairhaugh through the felled trees and out onto moors below Yarnspath Law. Should have taken the path next to the fence which I did on return but followed a vague quad track 50 yards to the north which wasn't the easiest. Great views from Bloodybush trig and ground totally dry underfoot.Walker Dan23/06/2022
Nuttall walk 8.2 with a few diversions in the forrest to negotiate fallen trees. With R.Dan Baddeley03/06/2022
3 of 5: From The Middle and then again returning from Cushat Law. with Karen.ChrisR19/04/2022
Parking at cattle grid before Ewartly Shank NT963126 after 2 miles of potholes. Excellent ATV TK to Hogdon Law. ATV TK continues, poorer, SW, but dives off R when hags carpeted by energy sapping deep soft veg encountered (direct, 4.5 out of 5 where 5 = purgatory), mitigated by my stumbling upon a linear grough (suspect ATV TK works around, R, to fence jcn at NT942120). ATV TK to Wether Cairn and back, then on around fences to Cushat Law, Bloodybush Edge via ATV TKs from good to dire quality. Down to Salters Road, out to Lint Lands and back, then along Salters Road to parking. Salters Road is not a breeze, grassy parts are slippery, non-grassy parts are loose rubble and it makes three descents and re-ascents, each smaller, fortunately.Isbjorn26/09/2021
From Barrowburn. Finding route through Uswayford was tricky and I came direct up the hillside. On to Cushat Law, and returned via Windy Gyle - path north by fence and then Salter's Road and Pennine Way. Long day.peter4lc25/08/2021

Nuttall 8.2. Parked at Wedder Leap. Bloodybush Edge > Cushat Law > Bloodybush Edge > Windy Gyle. Forest track up from Uswayford has many fallen trees across the path, but all passable. Path to W of Bloodybush Edge is S of the fence. From Bloodybush edge to Cushat Law it is N of it.Peter_W_Mitchell 17/06/2021
Following Nuttalls walk 8.2 lovely day but very windycolinfielding14/06/2021
Room for a couple of cars at the cattle grid 1km S of Ewartly Shank. Farm track > Hogdon Law, then across > Wether Cairn, then followed fences > Cushat Law > Bloodybush Edge > Lint Lands. Returned via Salter's Road. Reasonably solid under foot after a very dry April but expect lots of boggy bits most other times.JohnR24/04/2021
From Alwinton. Up Clennell Street to Saughy Hill, Nettlehope Hill, Yarnspath Hill, Bloodybush Edge (all the options), Cushat Law, Wether Cairn, down by Allerhope Burn.PGCE11/12/2020
From Cushat Law. Descent via Salters Road to CocklawfootJim T31/08/2020
From Cushat Law, probably about as dry as it gets after a couple of hot days, lunch at the trig then down to Lint Lands. Last Deleted Donald Top.agentmancuso01/08/2020
A splendid but lengthy round of 4 Deweys and 2 Nuttalls from the cattle grid at NT 964 126. Followed the farm track to Hogdon Law, then cross country to the trig at Wether Cairn. The forest fence is then a clear if wet navigational aid over Cushat Law and Bloodybush Edge to Yarnspath Law. Made the mistake of trying to cut round the side of Bloodybush Edge above the forest to the Salters Road at NT 904 157. Very deep heather with hidden ditches, I would have been far better going down Uswayford and along the FP to the Satler's Road, I am sure. From the pass a quick out and back to Lint Lands, then east down the Salter's Road to the road alongside the R Breamish to Low Bleakhope. Keeping to the Salter's Road up to just before the field boundary where an ATV track takes one up to Shill Moor. Back to the road and along it to the starting point. Much of the walk gives one a feeling of remoteness and good views of the surrounding hills. 27km with 1000m of ascent in 8hours. (S)silveracorn_alan11/07/2020
Parked at Hartside. Shill Moor, Cushat Law, Bloodybush Edge, Lint Lands, Comb Fell, Hedgehope Fell, Great Standrop (both tops), Ritto Hill.PGCE14/05/2020

From Windy Gyle via Clennell Street and Uswayford as part of the Cheviot Six 26mile hike. Easy ascent. Left to do Cushat Law in fading light. Hartside>Hedgehope>Comb Fell>Cairn Hill>The Cheviot>Cairn Hill West Top>King's Seat>Windy Gyle>Bloodybush Edge>Cushat Law>HartsideNorthernWayfarer08/08/2019
Two day walk of the Cheviot hills with Ben. First day: The Cheviot > Windy Gyle. Second day: Bloodybush Edge > Cushat Law > Comb Fell > Hedgehope Hill.axoree14/07/2019
Parked at cattle grid GR 964 127. Good track goes around Hogdon Law and up to summit. Then heather bashing across to fence near Black Butt then followed fence upto WeatherCairn. 4x4 tracks on west side. Return to Black Butt and along fences to Cushat Law and Bloodybush Edge, mainly on 4x4 tracks but rutted and boggy. Went down across Salters road up to Lint Lands. Returned to Salters road for a long trek back passing over High Knowesmart079704/07/2019

nattalls route 8.1 but with out windy very hard going up throw the bogs and the heather to the summit of bloodybush edge and then over to the summit the only paths over to Cushat Law where the quad tracks and even most of them where very very wet but the shelter on the summit as it started to rain was very welcoming this walk is longer than you think and quite hard goingDarren-44326/05/2019
With K and RM from Windy Gyle in hot conditions. Planned to go on to Cushat Law but ran out of time.Ashley20/04/2019
Start ~ 865103, Wedder Leap Car Park. Followed track to Fairhaugh then forest road to Clennel St. Then up fence line to summit of Yarnspath Law, continuing to Bloodybush Edge. With Wombourne & Lynnette.steve hudson11/04/2019
Parked at GR 865103 and followed a good track to Fairhaugh then a forest road to Clennel then followed a fence steeply up to Yarnspath Law then on to Bloodybush Edge. Returned by same route. With LP and SH.wombourne11/04/2019

From road at 859114. Room to park several vehicles. To Uswayford on bike then on foot via path SE to ridge. Path along south side of fence to summit of Bloodybush Edge. Continued along north side of fence to Cushat Law. Wet and boggy in places due to passage of quad bikes, but no major problems. Windy Gyle from the SE on return route.Winterfloodian20/10/2018
Headed up following fence from Yarnspath Law. Rain had stopped but remained windy. Best to cross the fence and follow it to the top from the forestry side. Left summit following the fence towards Lint Lands.NorthernWayfarer07/10/2018

From Salters Road as part of a reccie for the Cheviot Goat Ultra with Pete.Lykewake4219/11/2017
from Cushat Law, then back to the bike in forest below C L. The short cut to miss the top of C L is not to be recommended because it consisted of giant tussocks and was slower than going over the top.IanHHill01/11/2017
From picnic site at Barrowburn, via Middle Hill, fording Usway Burn (easy with low water level), up slope to Yarnsparth Law, then on rough paths over Bloodybush Edge and then long walk out to Cushat Law. Retraced route to slope below Bloodybush Edge, then contoured lower slope of hill northish over rough heather to Salter's Road. Followed this good track to the border ridge, then SW to Windy Gyle and return to start via Rowhope. Quite a trek.Cas-gwent20/07/2017
From Barrowburn, over Middle Hill and Yarnspath Law. Solo.Dangerous Dave15/09/2016
Climb from Uswayford and fuelled by all the wild blueberries along the fence on route to the summit. Went on to Cushat Law afterwards and then ascended Bloodybush Edge a second time from Cushat Law on route back to Uswayford. Felt a lot steeper climbing from Cushat Law than from Uswayford but maybe it was just tired legs.NorthernWayfarer06/09/2016
