A repeat of the Mosedale Horseshoe from the NT Car Park. Visiting Looking Stead, Pillar, Black Crag, Scoat Fell (all 3 summits), Steeple, Red Pike (Wasdale), Black Crag, and Yewbarrow (both summits) which is proving an increasing challenge for me at the end of a big day. A glorious day in the Lakes, with extensive views across the whole LDNP. 20km with 1330m ascent in 8h 30m.silverwolf_alan24/08/2023
Overbeck Bridge > Dore Head > Red Pike > Steeple > Scoat Fell >Black Crag > Pillar > Looking Stead > Black Sail Pass > Wasdale Head. Solo Walk, Four seasons in one day, Sleat and clag on Red Pike but conditions cleared in time for Steeple. Very windy over black Crag.johnkaysleftleg01/07/2023

From Bowness (Ennerdale). 17 km, 1000 m asc. E down the main track and over Char Dub Bridge and S up to Caw Fell. E along the Ennerdale Fence to Little Gowder Crag, Haycock, Great Scoat Fell and Scoat Fell. Over Middle Scoat Fell and N down and up to Steeple. From Bowness, Ennerdale. 17 km, 1100 m asc. East along the valley track and across Char Dub and Woundell Beck. S up the bridleway and E when leave the forest to follow the ridge over Lingmell summit and cross Low Beck to tackle the SE ridge to Steeple summit. Up to Scoat Fell summit then W over Middle Scoat Fell and Great Scoat Fell (Sy) tops and along the Ennerdale Fence to Haycock and Caw Fell summits. Back down the N ridge to the footbridge over Silvercove Beck and back by the valley track. Visited: Looking Stead, Pillar, White Pike (first time on this remote Synge), Black Crag, Scoat Fell, Steeple, Great Scoat Fell, Red Pike (Wasdale), Black Crag, Yewbarrow North Top, Yewbarrow, and finally my first scramble up Bell Rib on the way down.
