Parked in Buttermere with Brian K and set off in rain and showers. Ticking off my highest incomplete Wainwright and the Birketts on route. Up the Sour Milk Gill path and onto Dodd, stopped raining now, clouds blowing through. Then onto Red Pike, both High Stile tops, High Crag, Seat and down to Scarth Gap, down to the Lake and back. Cracking walk with amazing views particularly down to Buttermere. Bleaker Ray Tarn and Chapel Crags reminded me of Cwm Idwal, my favourite place.Mark T25/11/2015

Path from Gatesgarth Farm to the summit out on the NE ridge. Summit cairn is a short distance NE of the largest cairn on the NE ridge. Did the Red Pike to High Crag ridge back in August 1980, but bagged the Buxton & Lewis top (806m) and missed this one! (PM)gerrybowes16/05/2014
Glad I had my GPS with me with the summits uploaded as its a bit tricky to tell which of the cains is the true top. Still kicking myself for missing the geocache that is up here.Father Ted24/04/2014
