With Richie from Honister Pass - Grey Knotts, Brandreth, Base Brown, Green Gable, Great Gable and both Kirk Fells. Lovely day with snow on the highest peaks. Head torches required from the top of Loft Beck so abandoned the final few planned hills. A bit of a palaver near the bottom of Kirk Fell as we heard that some chap had fallen near the top and we had to hurry on towards Seavy Knott in the hope of a phone signal to call out mountain rescue. Fortunately someone else had already managed to call, presumably from the summit of Kirk Fell and they were already on their way. Hope he was OK. This from the MR website - Four walkers heard shouts for help high on Kirk Fell, Ennerdale and found a 36-year old male solo walker who had taken a long tumbling fall and sustained several injuries. Team members attended and treated him. Coastguard S92 SAR helicopter R936 attended from Caenarvon, winched and airlifted the casualty to Preston Hospital.Herbert Anchovy24/11/2018

Such a steep scramble from the pass! Worth it though. As it was the last major peak of the day I relaxed and took in the sights from the stone shelter on the topAltheus17/07/2018

Went with Chris and decided to just bag kirk Fell as we were short of time needing to get back home for 1500. Parked at Wasdale Head car park and went straight up the nose. difficult scree at the top and a little snow. Bitterly cold day though beautiful blue skies. Blowing a hoolie on top so quick photo and down following the metal fence posts eventually meeting Black Sail Pass. This route down also hard, very rocky and a little icy. Eased myself down mostly on my bottom and being quite short found some drops a little difficult to navigate. Probably wont do this again. wouldn't be too difficult for younger people.karentracey29/11/2017

Solo walk from Honister Slate Mine - Grey Knotts - Brandreth - Base Brown - Green Gable - Great Gable - KIRK FELL - Wainwright 121 - Horrible direct descent from Great Gable via scree/boulder field to Beck Head Tarn, not recommended! Probably better to descend via NW ridge to Beck HeadNutty17/09/2017
From Wasdale Head Inn, up Lingmel Beck/Moses Trod to summit then descend via Black Sail Pass. Warm and sunny in valley, strong cold N wind on tops.TBR16/09/2017
Started at Wasdale Head and up the steep (but uncomplicated) path. Great views on top, Sca Fell Pike was visible for the first time this week and the Isle of Man. Down to Beck Head and down the path back to Wasdale Head. I've now completed every Nuttall in the Lake District (except Pillar Rock).tsharp14/09/2017

Nice day with some sun but cool wind on tops. Tricky ascent up a gully to the summit. Met Neil from work on top. Great views all round...this is the best angle to view Great Gable from. Windy Gap next stop....AlanDStewart03/06/2017

First top of seven today on a 11.5 mile route on the Mosedale horseshoe walk found in Stuart Marshalls book Walking the Wainwrights. Park in the open area just before Wasdale head Inn. We chose to walk straight up to the summit which in my mind is one of the hardest ascents in the lakes.WAYNE ROWLETT06/05/2017

Parked at Wasdale green looking Kirk fell in the eyes. fueling up on pasta still resting already very tired legs. Set of straight up. Bec had milestones I was counting 50 steps then rest. The views of wastwater wadle and the whole valley was simlpy stunning. this was a tough very steep slog that at times felt never ending and impossible. Great views over lakeland from the summit. with Great Gable dominating the view. Decended via Beck Head Tarn and down the side of great gable. and back to the car. sat and looked at all we had conqured over the weekend with me slipping on my arse before heading home.Scotty 2 Hotty02/04/2017

Snowy day on tops and interesting scramble up from Black Sail.Mountainhikes01/03/2017
Took bridleway behind pub & up direct path to Kirk Fell. Steep, had to use hands on loose scree. Later found out this is steepest section of any fell race in Lakes. Nice scramble down to Black Sail Pass & onto Pillar. Went down Black Sail path.rogreeves11/10/2016
