Parked to the E at the Powter How cp (voluntary donations). Barf and Lord's Seat and back. Deteriorating conditions with a whiteout on Lord's Seat causing the Broom Fell extension to be abandoned. Snow line around 400m. Solo.richard6902/03/2024

My fifth round of the Lord's Seat Group from Whinlatter to Wythop Mill, this time with Chris. Visited Whinlatter Top, Whinlatter Brown How, Tarbarrel Moss, Ullister Hill, Barf, Lord's Seat, Broom Fell, Widow Hause, Graystones (both summits), Ling Fell, Rivings, and Sale Fell. 20km with 1030m ascent taking 7h20m. Lovely autumn colours and great views across the Solway into Scotland. Glad we did not do Skiddaw, our original choice, as it was stubbornly in cloud all day.silverwolf_alan03/11/2023
I'm sure there's an adage that says leave the nobbly one till last. So Boo and I did. Like Patrick McGoohan number 6 for the day. Then off for a pint in the Royal Oak at Braithwaite. Boo forgot her purse again so I was in the seat once moreAlphaville19929/09/2023

Along path from Lord's Seat. Descended by path to SW leading into forest. Path was a little precarious at times and quite a drop to the left.peter4lc22/06/2023

Today myself and Alma Aurea headed to Powter Howe for a circular walk taking in six Wainwright's - Sale Fell, Ling Fell, Graystones, Broom Fell, Lord's Seat and Barf, plus a couple of nearby summits. The weather was very warm and humid but from the forecast it looked like this area should stay clear of any thunderstorms or showers, which it did. However, despite the lower summit heights, the hills are relatively independent and quite steep it turned out to be quite a long day with some hot steep ascents! The walk took about 7.5 hours to cover the 15 mile route. Views are second to none here, a great place to finish the day. /Dmeltdiceburg11/06/2023

Day 2 of a big weekend of BGR recce/training, but left the BGR on one side today to explore the Lorton & Wythop fells, starting from Powter How with Barf and going anti-clockwise. Bottled out of Whinlatter as the drizzle got heavier, but it cleared whilst taking in Ullister Hill & Seat How. A grand day out, with plenty of grassy running & a decent amount of bog for Hazel to dash about in.NumptyDumpty05/03/2023
