After a week in bed ill with Flu I was ok enough for a lakes adventure. Not the original plan as we had Myla but wanted to stick to western and the plan. Parked in Thackthwaite on a little layby and headed through the farm and across the fields. Nice easy walk in the snow. Summit was amazing considering the easiness of the walk where Myla had dinner and some Kendal mint cake looking towards Grassmoor the western and northern fells and as far a Scotland. was absolutely stunning and took me by surprise I didn't have high expections for this at all being a plan B. never again will I have low expectations on anything in the beautiful Lakeland.Scotty 2 Hotty20/01/2018

Walking the whole ridge from the (scant) roadside parking at north end of Thackthwaite with Jim, Jus and Cat. Easy stroll on a rather breezy day; quieter at this end of the ridge than at the (admittedly nicer) southern end.wheresthepath24/09/2017
