With Sarah Evans, post work Wednesday walk. All weathers in one evening. Started out rainy, cleared pretty quickly, was sunny but could see the dark clouds looming and then by time we reached the summit it was snowing/ hailing and you could watch it travel down the valley. Then it cleared and was a nice evening again. Parked at the Rannerdale Bridge car park (middel of the three), walked along road to get to path up the steep side, spent a bit of time at the summit taking photos, then back down via Low Bank and Squat Beck to see the bluebells in Rannerdale Valley. They are almost all out, just weren't quite at peak colour and swathes of blue yet. Then home for a very late tea! But was enjoyable.Ruth Mackay05/05/2021

Large group work, in the mist. Cold day but soon warmed up when climbing up these peaks. Afternoon was much nicer weather wise. Parked some vehicles at Lanthwaite Green, and others in Buttermere to grab a well earned pint at the end of the walk. Mark, Brett and I ran up to Rannerdale Knotts in order to achieve this peak, whilst the others strolled off the top of whiteless pike. Grabbed a nice pint at the Fish. Group were Baz, Mat, Ian p, Andy g, Dan, Brett, Andy m, mark, geoff, zander and Lyndon.Jim Baz16/11/2019

From Newlands we tried to park in Buttermere but it was packed. after driving around and shouting at an old woman we gave up and headed to Crummock water. found the perfect free parking and headed on the unplanned route. start was very simple before it got steep working our way up the very steep and busy gully. such a great challenging route. As we approached the summit Buttermere opened up through a mini Great door. Such a great summit and we just chilled over looking the 2 lakes and haystacks and co. from there we headed the same way down. didn't take long to get back to the car. from here we crossed the road to have a picnic on the beach. I lost my phone and my mind but luckily Bec found it so we chilled on the beach skimming stones and enjoying life. after I took some artsy fartsy pictures we headed into Keswick for an ice cream, a pint and a poo before heading back to the tent for Hotdogs in the rain. both shattered we watched Free birds in the car on the ipad before getting in thScotty 2 Hotty12/05/2018

Went back to get this one after deciding no Monday that the route from the lake would be steep and best walked up rather than down. Turned out not to be as bad as expected as a lot of work has been done on the path lower down. That said it would be slippery if wet so best done this way I think. only 30 mins to the summit and rewarded with good views. Gentle walk down the other side and back to the car park. Went with Chris. Left car at 0930 and back by 1055karentracey04/05/2018
