From Nannycatch Road end car park. Wet, not the best end to year, but saw the chap from Cleator Moor who ran a marathon every day through 2022 - a big turn out and rightly so - more impressive than any bagging our bagging feats in a year?davechaffey31/12/2022

Up from South Wales to finish off my English Marilyns. I wasn't in our original plan to walk today but having made good time and seeing the weather forecast for heavy raid on Wednesday we decided to tackle this one. Parked in the Longlands Lake car park, made an error of heading east initially but corrected ourselves and headed north up the east side of the river bank, then east along thee tracks, through farmyard and over road to pick up C2C route all the way to the top. The high point isn't the first cairn so needed to go on further to the top.Father Ted24/10/2021
With Val. Parked at the Longlands Lake car park. Walked along road to the Coast to Coast Path and followed it to the summit. Good weather.mike.hoult28/08/2021

With Mark, Ymarri, Eric and Rex, parked at Black How and walked up forest track and back down the same way. Eric and Ymarri didn't make it to the top as Eric didn't want to go any further. Very icy and cold, but another blue sky, lovely winters day.Ruth Mackay03/01/2021

CW circuit of Flat Fell and, via Nannycatch Gate, the Marilyn and Wainwright summits of Dent from Nannycatch Road. The Marilyn summit must be a contender for UK’s Best-Hidden Cairn, especially when approached from the east.Nick Down121/10/2020
Sunny walk up Dent via Raven Crag with Blogga. Raven Crag was a bit of a slog, but it was worth it for the views. May have to return for some mushroom picking.DAB8129/09/2020

A pleasant walk through shady trees from Nannycatch, just follow the track upwards, then up a thankfully dry muddy path to the gate and the top. Surprisingly good, and wonderful views if you ignore Sellafield.Gill22/06/2018

Nice afternoon out with friends. The weather turned out way better than expected and we were treated to a stunning panorama of the coast, surrounding fells and countryside. Unfortunately, we could not see the Isle of Man properly though, as it was partially obscured by clouds. All in all. A great walk. 11/10. Would walk again.DAB8114/04/2018
