Run from Derwent Water and back. Lovely steep little summit. Time taken 88 minutes for 7.7 miles did get a bit lost in the woods. | isabelle | 31/08/2023 |
A pleasant afternoon walk in Upper Borrowdale. Starting from the NT car park I went up High Doat, incredibly for the first time with a splendid view from the summit. Then north along the terrace track and for a fourth ascent of Castle Crag. Back along the River Derwent made it a delightful round. 7km with 300m ascent in 2h 20m. | silverwolf_alan | 27/08/2023 |
Nice walk up for some views, no rain and not too wet underfoot from the recent rain. | Cumbrianexile | 18/08/2023 |

Keswick-Swinside-Skelgill Bank-Cat Bells-Holm Crag-Castle Crag-Borrowdale YH with Percy. Pretty dark by the time we made it to the summit. Confusing getting off the summit with 2002 version of explorer map, but hit the path more by luck than judgement. Awkward descent with torch. | campagvelocet | 24/01/2023 |

Day trip to the Lake District (first time for us) and convinced the Missus to climb a Wainwright, basically cos its the smallest but still a steep bugger to climb. The last 200 feet is epic through the slate quarry and the views up top aware beyond compare. Stunning! | Craigieboy44 | 09/08/2022 |
