First visit on a Torver to Langdale Boddington Hall walk. We kept to the highest ground all the way from Dow Crag to Crinkle Crags. Higher summits were in the cloud and Cold Pike to Crinkle Crags had some confusing moments as experienced mountaineers forgot compasses. I've kept mine in my cag ever since (except when using it, of course). Subsequently, this summit has been part of a Coniston fells walk and the most obvious- the round of Greenburn- is the best. | pwheeler | 10/03/1974 |
