From Birks CP, path all the way, steep and dilapidated in parts but at least it cuts through the bracken and heather. Summit tor is an easy scramble.Topographer5704/07/2019

A circuit of Green Crag and Harter Fell taking in as much scrambling as possible. Crossed the suprisingly easy moor from Green Crag and ascended via the delightful Harter Beanie route. Murky on the top but didn't really mind considering the fun of the ascent.Jake99430/03/2019

I walked to Whahouse Bridge, turned through a sheep pasture and on emerging from woodland at a crossroads went straight on up a hill. Shortly I saw other walkers on the other side of the ravine and realised I must have taken a wrong turning. I rejoined the main path further up. There were two paths on the map and I took the more southerly one which was barely a path at all, just a rough climb up grass. I caught up with the walkers I had seen earlier while they were resting, and from there it was a short but steep climb to the summit. The highest point is some rocks near the trig point. The descent was on the more northerly of the tracks which is conveniently cairned, as the path disappears in places. I then took the easy track which slanted down to Jubilee Bridge.peter4lc21/04/2018
Walk from the top of Hardknott Pass up and back to Hardknott picking up my rucksack from the car and walking on to Harter Fell. Descent and crossing of the normally boggy fell onto Green Crag returning through the woods to Birks and climbing back over the hill back to the car. Enjoyable beer at SouthwaitePhilip A11/04/2018
From Cockley Beck up Moasdale and ascend Hard Knott. Descend to Hardknott Pass and ascend Harter Fell via Demming Crag. Descend via SW path to Dunnerdale Forest and ascend Green Crag. With DW from Woolpack. Doctor Bridge and up the zigzag. Early sun gave way to couldy dampness. Route one from Green Crag top to Harter base at the edge of the Duddon plantation. Very wet and made for heavy boots, but we amateurs made a decent speed up what is a decent grade to Harter Fell tops. Descent via NW path to Spot How Gill. Very quiet today. Just one other group seen in 6 hours. W9 and W10.nukeboy122/02/2018
