A 15.5 mile walk. High Tongue (234m) as a warm up, then Wallowbarrow Crag (292m), Wallowbarrow Heald (371m), Iron Crag (408m), Birker Fell - White How (444m), Great Worm Crag (427m), Birker Fell - Great Crag (333m), Broad Crag - Birker Fell (372m), Green Crag (488m), Crook Crag (469m), Great Whinscale (427m), Dow Crag (404m) and finally Harter Fell (Eskdale) (653m). The cloud was low all day so I'd opted for lower fells which worked well as these were all out of the cloud, except Harter. Harter did dip out a couple of times for photos but it was back in the cloud by the time I arrived. It was a tough going walk, ferns and bogs so quite a demanding day, but nice to explore this area in detail. I had some sun and some showers and some nice views in atmospheric conditions. I nearly left Harter as the cloud was down and I was tired but it seemed a shame not to visit one of my main targets. I climbed up into the cloud and bagged the trig and climbed to the true summit.meltdiceburg12/07/2023

Spiralled up from Jubilee bridge - path good underfoot allowing plenty of time to take in the views. Took the steep path down (SE) to the bridleway along the edge of Spothow Gill then back to Jubilee Bridge as route out. Sunny day windy on the summit though.briandavies05/05/2023
