With Carol. Park at Stainton Ground Quarries. Ascend Stickle Pike (1231’). Head south to trig point at Great Stickle (1001’); then meander northwest around the ponds and marshes to Tarn Hill (1020’); before heading south to Dunnerdale Fells (920’). Return by picking up the track to the west of Great Stickle, heading north and passing to the east of Stickle Tarn. Drop back down to the road. (Sunny but breezy.) 3.71 miles, 2.75 hours and 545’ of ascent.DABT09/07/2022
A bit achy from the previous day we made our way to the Dunnerdale Fells. Through the gate parking in view of Stickle Pike. We set off skirting round the side heading to the furthest hill. It was a bit damp underfoot and I slipped and broke my Heineken glasses. Weaving through the bog and tarns we started heading up to Great Stickle summit and what a Summit. My favourite of the outlying so far. We sat on a very comfortable rock for about 30/40 mins just taking in the amazing views out to sea over Duddon sands and behind us the amazing looking Stickle pike looking like the perfect triangle mountain. I loved this summit and was my favourite so far on the OL.Scotty 2 Hotty21/06/2022

6.9 mile walk from Kiln Bank Cross road. Out and back to Caw via the quarry north of summit, a very nice hill with great views. Then back across pass onto the miniature mountain of Stickle Pike and onwards to Tarn Hill and Great Stickle. Saw only a few people about on a Sunday in the Lakes. Clear and sunny. 714m ascent. Afterwards drove to and bagged Burn Moor, Whitfell, Buck Barrow, Kinmont Buck Barrow and Stoneside Hill.DanTrig27/06/2021

Lovely early morning walk between the showers, we were lucky as the heavy rain didn't arrive until after we finished the walk. We parked in the small carpark opposite the village hall in Broughton Mills and made our way up to here, pity Lickle Valley View Point had been archived as we could have grabbed it on the way up. Once here the cache was quickly located and a nice dry log signed, met a couple fell running as we set off for the next cache.Snakes7731/12/2015
