Parked in the small lay-by at the end of the minor road, just S of Brown Howe car park. Pleasant walk up the road to the grassy track shortly before the hairpin bend. Followed tracks to the summit. Good views of surrounding hills in snow. | LizH | 19/01/2024 |

With Sue on round of 7 from parking at the eastern end of the right of way. Anne Rigg, round N of tarn to Green How, Yew Bank, Fisher High, Wool Knott and Beacon Hill, Coats Hill take first gate through field and return to gate, followed track to short road walk to car park. | Frank | 27/05/2021 |

By far the best place to park is on a large grass area about 100m before the final U bend on the minor road to the north . The black dotted line shown on the map exists as a good track and cuts the corner off to the Cumbria Way.
