Parking area approx 146295, path beside Allt Dhoirrean, Lairig Dhoireann over Meall Beithe, drop to beallach up SE ridge. Gillie/farmer said best to go back between Beinn Lurachan & Beinn Larachan. Contoured on NE animal track above Coire Dubh Ealcha until it petered out then headed down had iffie 5m of scrambling & steep grass. 9hours.rogreeves28/09/2022
A glorious day for Glen Strae hills. Splendid walk up the SW ridge of Beinn Lurachan (best hill of the day), over the top, then over Meall Beithe to the little grassy bealach below Meall Garbh. Gate, then ATV track part way up Meall Garbh, then tedious trudging up rough steep grass to the fine but short summit ridge. Down and up the glen towards Coire Dubh Ealcha contouring down at Pt 515 to the prominent shelf then E down very steep grass then SE more easily to pick up the track near the bridge.Gill24/09/2022
We took the Glen Strae track from the B8077 until reaching a gloriously clear pool on the Allt Dhoireann that looks perfect for summer dipping. However, as it was only a few degrees above zero we instead headed up the trodden path to Lairig Dhoireann, veering off on to the SW flank of Beinn Lurachan - a steady climb giving good access to its summit. Over to Meall Beithe then a steep fall and rise to Meall Garbh. Headed home by aiming for Coire Dubh Ealcha, keeping this deep chasm to our right as we dropped into Glen Strae and its estate track back to the car. 5.5hrs.summitter02/04/2022
Bike n' Hike from Inverawe. 36km Bike, 12km Hike. Meall Garbh (G), Beinn nan Las (G). Great weather.Huwel05/12/2021
From Glenstrae, via Lairig Dhoirrean, where mist came down and made it hard to tell the exact location, but it cleared and revealed the contouring route to the col between Beinn Lurachan and Meall Beithe. After this col I contoured along the east side of Meall Beithe and round to the N from where it was easy to drop down to the col below Meall Garbh. the climb was easier then expected. I reversed the route for the return, but mist and rain returned and made route finding difficult. The extra time meant it was nearly dark when I got back down to Glen Strae. However, the stalker from the estate, with whom I chatted on the way out, had become concerned at my non-return to my car and came looking for me, and he gave me a lift on his Quad Bike. An adventurous day all round!IanHHill15/09/2021
Route from Glen Strae. Limited evidence for the path on the map up to Lairig Dhoireann. Branded off near top to climb the 2 tops of Beinn Lurachan. Continued NE to climb Beinn Larachan, then climbed S ridge of Meall Buidhe with good views to Starav range. Descended S, then climb NW to Meall Garbh, visiting summit and various nearby rocks of similar height. Return to beallach and steady climb to Meall Beithe. Skirted round summit of Beinn Lurachan and descended fine SW ridge to rejoin Glen Strae track.RobertP15/08/2021
Good route as per Topographer-thanks. ATV and animal tracks, at times, made for easy/quick progress.dave g19/09/2020
From Victoria Bridge over Beinn Suidhe and Meall Buidhe. Knee wrecker of a descent to the sorry sight of hydro tracks in all directions from Glen Kinglass. Lovely but long walk back past Loch Dochard.daviemore23/08/2020
Up early to beat the weather. Cycled up Glen Strae to 183340 then up the ridge on the right side of Coire Dubh Ealcha and via cols at 176351 (515m) and 172361 (445m). Ground good albeit steep in places. All other routes are much longer or involve much more re-ascent.Topographer5729/05/2019
From camp in Glen Kinglass. Ascended on E bank of stream to N, crossed above wood, then up ridge on easy ground S of crags. Galltywenallt25/05/2019

2 of 2: From F/B after Beinn nan Lus. Whilst cycling back down Glen Kinglass a pickup truck driver stopped and checked if I was ok. Friendly.ChrisR26/06/2017
After Beinn nan Lus, dropped to the fine suspension bridge at GR 152369, then crossed the moor heading for a single tree higher up. From here went more or less straight up past a holly and into a burn line which becomes an incut valley. Leads through a few rocky edges easily to summit. Back same way to be met at road by Alistair the local Ghillie from Ardmaddy who kindly gave us and bikes a lift back to Inverawe smokery CP.nordicstar11/09/2016
Two good Grahams climbed today from Glenkinglass. Lower slopes can be tussocky, but managed to find good routes up both hills. A beautiful spot. Helped by advice and a lift from Alistair. Region 3 complete!jenx11/09/2016
Ascended from A85/B8077 junction, Glen Strae, Lairig Dhoireann and Meall Beithe with descent back over Beinn Lurachan. It feels a long way with lots of up and down.benalder28415/04/2016

Cycled from Inverawe CP and then meandered up to the summit in the heat.Martin R10/06/2015
Using the route from the new Grahams book, I logged 19km, 1260m ascent, rather than the 15.5km, 1160m stated in the book. Parked just a few yards in on the track - there is a sign saying no vehicles further on, but a couple of parking spaces near the start. Great day, super weather, and the descent down the ridge from Beinn Lurachan is lovely, despite being hard on the knees.nicolajane09/06/2015
meall garbh and beinn nan lus from inverawe, biked up glen kinglass.robertphillips22/06/2014
From tent at head of Glen Kinglass along with the three surrounding Graham tops in poor weather and very wet ground in places due to recent snow melt but an enjoyable day.dickscroop29/03/2014

Parked off B8077. Hot work up hill on buggy tracks, many footprints gave re-assurance after 3 walks without. A mile traverse on flat contour to col before M Beithe. Across a massive stream cut gorge on NW side of hill and a further long drop to cross a fence in a 1500' col. Final 800' clamber to top at 13.10. Heat haze to 8 miles.arranc13/04/2007

Ascended from B8077, Glen Strae, Lairig Dhoireann and Meall Beithe. Very good weather unlike May 2002 when heavy rain forced a retreat.JohnW24/10/2003
