Great Dun Fell, Little Dun Fell, Cross Fell and Knock Pike from the limit of access on Knock Lane by the gravel pit. Followed the radar station road on ascent and cut the corner over easy terrain returning from Knock Pike. The gate to the golf ball station compound was open so I was able to visit the true summit. Gloriously spacious walking.Nick Down107/07/2021
Decided to cycle up the longest paved climb in the UK when on a trip to Yorkshire, Stunning views the channel down the side of the hill is breathtaking.FelixClayhill07/07/2021
Blencarn ROW to Cross Fell. After revelling in the glorious wind shelter we took the Pennine pavement across Little Dun Fell to its big golf-balled brother. Over to Knock Fell before doubling back to the derelict Silverband Mine and from there the indistinct footpath to Milburn. Before tackling Burney Hill we had to roll two fat sheep back on to their staggering feet .. a kick in the shins being my sole good-deed reward .. perhaps making up for the many years of chops, shanks and kebabs.summitter18/06/2021

From Burney Hill. In spite of MWIS and BBC forecasting dry weather, much of the ascent was in driving rain. Poor Bag For Life (unaccustomed to such conditions) sheltered behind the summit buildings while I ran off to bag Little Dun Fell.Wycombe Wanderer26/09/2020

Kirkland > Greg's Hut > Cross Fell > Little Dun Fell > Great Dun Fell > Knock Old Man > Meldon Hill > Viewing Hill > Round Hill > Greg's Hut > Kirkland. One of the hardest and most ambitious walk I have ever done. Hardest bag was the walk to Meldon Hill from Knock Old Man due the the terrain. Otherwise the hardest parts were the river crossings required for the route I took. Drizzly rain for pretty much all the time and had to walk to Greg's hut and back from/to Kirkland in dark with head torch. Solo. Don't know how far I walked but my watch said 64,000 steps / 6,000 kcsl mostly 'off-piste'.axoree14/08/2019

Crossing in middle of the night, from Garrigill to Dufton during LDWA Hadrian 100. With conditions so bad and mist so thick that the concrete bulk of the radar station was barely discernible, it was with relief that I reached the tarmac access road that led off the high ground.richardrosser26/05/2019

From Gravel Pit (on minor road to Great Dun fell just outside Knock) - Initially deterred by heavy rain we ascend Knock Pike - As conditions improve we follow footpath alongside Swindale beck flanking Flagdaw and joining the service road track up Great Dun - Cloud closes in around us at pole 287 - horizontal hail by pole 90 but nearly there - bag summit of Great Dun Fell and make a hasty retreat. Visibility at top less than 50 yrds.briandavies11/11/2018
