Visited during Day 20 of our Dales Circular walk from the end of the road above Hartley to Tan Hill Inn. Followed the C2C red route over Nine Standards and White Mossy Hill, to the famous Ravenseat farm, then along the public FP into Stonesdale, visiting the grassy Robert's Seat along the way. With Christine, Eric, Geoff and Steve. The full day's walk was 17.6km with 700m of ascent, taking us 5h 30m.silverwolf_alan12/05/2022

From Kirby Stephen on a beautiful June day: Nine Standards Rigg, White Mossy Hill and Nateby Common. With Hiking Manchester group.Lazylizzie20/06/2021
Parked on the B6270 south of Tailbridge Hill. Nice steady walk direct to the summit then minor path across the moor to the main path up to Nine Standards Rigg. Next came a cross-country there-and-back trek across the, thankfully bone-dry, heather and hags to Brownber Head, before finishing atop the featureless White Mossy Hill.summitter19/06/2021
From the B6270 along the RoW at NY809042. On to nine Standards joining the paved C2C path.Eddie22/04/2021
After bagging Nine Standards Rigg and popping over to see the stones I doubled back to bag this hill. The made the mistake of trying to head directly back to the car parked in the informal car park near Tailbridge Neck - much thrashing through heather and sinking into bogs ensued. Would have been better to retrace my steps back to the RoW and followed that back.Wheelsy12/04/2021
21.6 miles 2350ft walk, start at Usha Gap campsite, follow Swaledale to Birk Dale track on right up Mould Gill to White Mossy Hill 659m and onto Nine Standards Rigg 662m Trig and Stones, east track too boggy so return to Coast to Coast path to Ravenseat and follow Swaledale back to Usha Gap campsite.stephenbuda09/08/2020

From Tailbridge Hill. Predictably boggy but nothing outrageous. Last fell of the day. Not the most inspiring day's walking but good to get some exercise on a rare dry day.Wycombe Wanderer08/01/2020
With Val. Very hot weather. After Nine Standards Rigg.mike.hoult25/07/2019
From NY 8085 0427; good track to Rollinson Haggs, then off-piste to here. On to Brownber Head on a near enough direct line (lots of haggs). Picking off orphan hills. Bastifell (Elmslie) also picked up on the way back. That's SE Cumbria finished off.jonglew05/03/2019
From county boundary on B6270 across Lamps Moss on bridleway to junction of bridleways, then path straight up to NSR view finder, along to NSR summit, then across to White Mossy Hill. Some path slabs now in place near WMH. Thereafter went back to NSR and across to Brownber Head.Fisky Boy20/09/2018

Descended over summit with Darren Royle on 13.88m Stage 6 of C2C(Red Route over Nine Standards Rig)from Kirkby Stephen to Keld. Horrendous bog slowing progress and causing many deviations but fine clear weather with view of tall skinny cairn which is target to intercept track to Ravenseat.pwhitaker_196624/07/2017
A walk on a fine evening from Nateby Common to White Mossy Hill, along the broad ridge to the summit of Nine Standards Rigg, the viewpoint cairn, the intriguingly multifarious nine standards themselves and west to the summit viewpoint of Tailbridge Hill.Nick Down131/05/2017

Parked at 812041 with GB. Through bog while generally following the boundary. Returned on the path by heading north towards Nine Standards and then west to Nateby Common.bolton12/11/2015
Parking area on the Yorkshire/Westmorland boundary at NY81167 04073 – Took a fairly direct route across extensive bog before climbing up onto drier ground & the summit – Continued NNW for about 400m & then dropped down to disused quarry – Excellent track from quarry to Dukerdale Pots & then good path to Nateby Common. From top of hill on B6270 not far from county boundary, direct line to hill. No path and it seems took worst line possible across a very wet Lady Moss. Then to Nine Standards and Brownber Head.Aye Jimmy18/07/2015
From Brownber Head by a very direct route. Quite dry underfoot.JohnStoneham26/04/2015
With Jo, walk from B6270 county boundary parking space: across Lady Bog (aptly named) to Nine Standards Rigg, then onto Brownber Head (two tops) (surprisingly dry), returning via NSR to White Mossy Hill then across Dukerdale Pots to Nateby Common (Tailbridge Hill). Weather; cloudy with sunny intervals, cool breeze on tops, good visibility.amblerbob24/08/2014
