Variation on Nuttall walk 10.2 from CP at highpoint on A689.Longwojo16/07/2022
Four tops in three short walks. Viewing Hill a mixture of the good track and easy if pathless ground. Supposedly on the bridle path from south of Rough Rigg but after the gate this does not seem to exist on the ground so ad libbed across to great Stony Hill and across to Three Pikes which does now have a small neat cairn. Then the short walk to Middlehope along the county boundary, this too now has a nice tall new cairn.dickscroop08/07/2022
Short walk up from the road, only one boggy crossing.Walker Dan07/05/2022
Wow, the 3 miles east from Killhope Law to Middlehope Law were the hardest part of all of my 6 day backpack in the Northern Pennines!! I was so relieved to get to the B6295 and from there it was an easy climb to the summit.morgs4mountains25/03/2022

A rough path starts from pt.587 on the B6285 and follows the wall/fence, through a short ‘floating bog’ then meets a light coloured ruined wall; from here, on R, multiple light ATV tracks lead to the summitIsbjorn28/08/2021
With Sue and NB from Cowshill car park. Blackhill and Middlehope Moor following tracks and some rough moor. Anti clockwise along wet in places border fence and good track back to Cowshill.Frank10/08/2021
Made a bit of a walk out of this one rather than the easy bag and go from the top of the road. Parked in the carpark by the pub at Cowshill. Followed the bridlepath from just North of the pub over burtree Fell to the bend in the track at 858428 then headed direct to the summit. Followed the fence from the summit around to the 607m trig point (wet underfoot in parts, but wasn't to bad today but it has been dry) then continued along the fence for a bit towards the 602m spot height at 871423, then cut down to pick up the footpath that goes to the west of Black Hill. Followed to the junction with the bridletrack which was then taken in a westerly direction until it hit the bottom of the valley and a lane leading back to the car (5 miles). Just under 2hrs walking for me.JulieB09/05/2021

From 568 spot height. Mine track then well maintained shooting butt track nearly all the way to top of Killhope. Carried on to Stangend Rigg and Middlehope Moor. Surprisingly good underfoot. Short heather and bog free. Swirling mist in the valley and mostly sunny. With B and R.jenx09/11/2020

A run up from the Durham / Northumberland county boundary from the W and onto the summit, and then onto the trig. Reasonably easy following the vague path.madaddo15/07/2019
From the road top after climbing Killhope Law. Very wet underfoot. Headed to the trig but it wasn't worth the hassle of crossing all the puddles to be honestGary Heath09/06/2019
with the dog from the northumberland Durham border its only a shortish walk but its very very boggy up on the moor at the moment loads of wildlife to see thoughDarren-44318/05/2019

From Allendale Common where I parked in a lay-by next to a camper van whose owner’s dog eyed me doubtfully. This was a much shorter walk and the main points of interest were Dead Stones and Burnhope Seat to the south west, covered with snow.peter4lc29/11/2017

Walked on my own from the county border on the B6295.Sunny with a chilly breeze on top. A pleasant stroll from the road.flockwatcher02/10/2016
With Jo, from B6295: across moor to top and nearby Wolfcleugh Common Trig. Weather; overcast, windy, good visibility. Grouse shooting taking place on lower slopes.amblerbob12/08/2016
Continued from Killhope Law along the county boundary, over the road and followed the boundary fence. No major problems other than bog, heather, and a wide stream to cross. Summit is very small and not really worth the effort. Better to just take the car to the road and walk from there.NorthernWayfarer07/08/2016
From top of road. Walked the extra to the trig to make it a bit more of a walk.clivevilla22/10/2015
