On a short circular walk with Lyn. Yet another stunningly uninteresting top to walk around.Sixtyplus09/12/2022
After Tan Hill, an easy diversion from the ROW. Top currently a stubble field. No evidence of cairn but the field is more stones than soil and it's probably been ploughed anyway.milimana16/11/2022
https://cjwilliams1975.wixsite.com/website/post/milk-hill Cycled from Pewsey. Left bike in car park. Walked round the hill - amazing views - got onto the top by the rusty reservoir thing. Back to car, 4.6km. Busy on a Bank Holiday!cjwilliams03/01/2022

Walk from carpark to pick up Milk Hill, Tan Hill and Golden Ball Hill. Great viewsRamblingpaul13/09/2019
Good walk from nearby car park on road to Alton Barnes. No trig point so no real fixed point to aim for (with no GPS). Good to get third of the day.acolling12/08/2019
Anri clockwise round from the car park. Square of fallow ground one side of both the current and the 294m summit to SW. New agers in car park no problem while I wild-camped on the hills.Eddie12/07/2019
Walk on way back from visit in Oxford, parked on roadside in nearby farmland after poor SatNav directionspenbet22/04/2019
Car broken into so beware.softsquare05/04/2019
On own. Parked in Pewsey Downs car park, mega potholes! NW along bridleway 'Tan Hill Way', then S along White Horse Trail until directly W of cultivated field to take shortest route to summit, tricky barbed wire topped fence. Able to keep in tractor wheel gaps to avoid walking on young crops growing there. No evidence of small cairn, assume ploughed over. GPS used to find true summit of fairly flat field. Hang gliders watched from Milk Hill. Return paths across rolling grassy chalk downs above White Horse Hill figure. Very pleasant walk with good views.Beeliner21/03/2019
Oare - Martinsell Hill - Golden Ball Hill - Milk Hill - Tan Hill - Woodborough Hill - Pewsey. Lovely hills but very windy.Mark Jackson16/03/2019
Started from the car park. Up via the Wansdyke and back via the tumuli above the white horse. Copious mince pies and gingerbread kept our 5yr old goingekm01/01/2019
Circular walk from Bridleway start at 156 spot height on rd. Then to Tan Hill and Ciffords Hill. With B and R.jenx10/12/2018

With Jenx and Bryher, no Cairn! Plus Tan Hill without its trig now. Walked up from the South on good tracks, made a circuit of it from the B road at Cannings Crossnordicstar12/10/2018
Parked in the nearby car park. Visited Adam's Grave, and walkers hill before heading to tan hill and back to the car park.Buck21/06/2018
On my way home from a cycling holiday in Wales. Left my bike on road at SU 0955 6265 and walked up footbath, wouldn't recommend this route as it was overgrown and then the cows in the field were a bit too friendly. Summit field had crops in it so no way to visit the summit without severely damaging them. Walked round field perimeter and also visited spot height at 294m (which I know is not the top).tsharp18/06/2018
Ploughed field on summitBen Tindal09/04/2018
Walked around nondescript summit field which was mostly surrounded by barbed wire. Tractor tracks did not quite lead to summit (probably around 2m under), but no qualms about counting this one.rlee504017/03/2018
Up via Walkers Hill (262m). Solo.Dangerous Dave18/02/2018
Circular walk from car park on drove track. Indistinct top in enclosed field. Cold late winter conditions with lots of mud.Argentum6612/02/2018
Parked in car park walked around the hill past the white horse then up onto the summit which really doesn't have any summit markings so used GPSjmistry8619/01/2018
Great views from Stwg2717/11/2017
With K. Quite a tour round this palimpsest of archaeological features. Saw deer near summit, which had been ploughed a year or two ago but is now fallow. Quite a mess.Ashley13/11/2017
Parked in the nearby car park. Visited Adam's Grave, before following the Mid Wilts Way. A gate gave access to the summit field, which was partly fallow and partly recently ploughed. Descended back to the car on the Tan Hill Way.Sprog01/11/2017

Picked my way through weedy (in both senses) beans, to reach the summit.ngthack11/08/2017
Getting to the top is a different prospect in the south when you are used to right to roam at home. Nice easy summit to bag before breakfast back at the motorbike rally I am attending near PewseyLizzieG05/08/2017
Lovely walk through the Wiltshire countryside, with amazing views of the surrounding landscape! Enjoyed passing by the White Horse chalked on the hillside. Intriguing site with links to UFOs and crop circles. Lots of Lapwings in the stubble field at the summit! :-)Gerry the Ranger21/04/2017
unmarked point in centre of ploughed domed field, essentially level, but HP determined by Abney. Metal water tank to N and copse to SSE lower. Hazy views, larks singing. Enjoyed the close up view of the White Horse and various ancient earthworks en route.Denise 21/04/2017
Walked in rain and mist a truly horrible day route used was from Jonny Muir's book of County Tops, if you are using this route just use the return leg it is easier to find the field in question as it is a fairly straight line from the free car park to Pewsey Downs notice board on Wansdyke the field is on the left. The high point is near a big tank in the middle you will need something to measure height or a GPS as there is no feature here to signify the top.WAYNE ROWLETT12/11/2016
