From cp at culver cliff wood, along rugged coast walk then back along the top. Very windy and a fair bit of rain. Very wet under foot, but a lovely walk. 11km in 2 hrs 30.Nicky C02/01/2024

Exmoor's 3 Marilyns. Parked in the long stay car park in Porlock (£5.50 all day card/cash). Out to Porlock's shingle beach ridge, along to the very end of the beach to fp ascending to SWCP, Bossington Hill, Selworthy Beacon (hazy views across to South Wales), Periton Hill, Dunkery Beacon and back via the small church at Stoke Pero. Good to see the complete conifer clearance and new broadleaf replanting by the NT in Doverhay Coombe - although it looks a little spartan now, give it 5 years or so to get going. Rain finally arrived on the approach to Dunkery Beacon along with the low cloud so no views. With Gillian.richard6927/07/2023

Parked at the church and walked up through the woods past the monument and up to the summit. Nice views and relaxing walk up.Stevooo23/04/2021
Our first excursion out of Gloucestershire post the winter lockdown. A beautiful, sunny spring day, so lovely to see the sea again, even if it was very windy on the front. Walked up from Minehead RNLI, initially on the SWCP before stopping to visit the very overgrown round barrows to the east of the summit, a trial of heather and gorse-hopping. The summit itself is lovely, with a modern cairn and terrific views across to Dunkery Beacon. We carried on to Bossington Hill to visit the Bronze Age cairn, then looped back SE to visit the unexpectedly good Bury Castle hillfort. Dropped down through nice woods to Selworthy Coombe, then back up along the bridleway to the ridge. Paralleled the rather busy road eastwards, then down through Moor Wood back to the town. A terrific day trip.thesweetcheat23/04/2021

Would love to have walked from Selworthy but had my young daughter & partner with me so decided to stay in the good books & drive closer to the summit. Nice drive brought me to roadside parking approx 400m from trig. Easy walk up kept everyone happy and we all enjoyed the views. Result! :-)Gerry the Ranger05/07/2020

Carefully navigated the back streets of Minehead to get onto Hill Road and continued to the viewpoint CP at the end of the road. Unfortunately misty conditions so retraced our steps 500m to a pull-in opposite the Memorial Hut. After visiting the hut, followed easy stone track NE for 500m to trig point.
