Having ‘bagged’ Eggardon hill early I drove to Broadwindsor and parked by the village store. Breakfast pastry purchases before a 10.5 mile walk up to Lewesdon hill before heading back down to pick up bridleway and road to Pilsdon Pen. Heading down to Stoke Abott using roads and Bridle Paths and the Jubilee Way to Stoke Abbott then up to Chartknolle Farm out and back to Gerrard's Hill. Headed back to Broadwindsor via Waddon Hill which is clearly a hill the landowner does not want you to walk up!Buck03/08/2019
Parked at the base of the hill and walked over the stile and up the well-trodden path. Friend told me that there is some controversy as to whether this is higher than Lewesdon Hill. My OS Locate app measured this 2m higher than Lewesdon Hill at the trig-point.jedthehumanoid26/07/2019

Walked from Lewesdon Hill. Beautiful day and wide ranging views.Clach Liath04/08/2018
Form layby on the B316 - Arrive shortly after a downpour but already warming up again. Information board promises an iron age fort and does not disappoint . Old earthworks and entrances still prominent. Central area flattened - very impressive with fine views all around. Wonder what Vespasian made of the place in AD43?briandavies28/07/2018
Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log: Lovely wee hill fort, steep but short ascent, fantastic view. Trig showing some damage and has a crack around it with a wee hole.thejackrustles22/07/2018

8.5 mile walk from car park south of Pilsdon Pen, walked down country lane south-east and onto Jubilee Way to Stoke Abbott (very posh village), up better path to Chartknolle Farm out and back to Gerrard's Hill, then west along Wessex Ridgeway onto Lewesdon Hill, along to B-road and climbed Pilsdon Pen from North, back to car park. Then drove to and bagged Lambert's Castle Hill and Colmers Hill. Lovely and sunny with nice breeze.DanTrig22/05/2017

I did this as part of a mammoth walk along the Monarchs Way from close to Crewkerne to Cheddington approx. 38 miles. Had been to the summit before but couldn't pinpoint the exact date.derlan21/05/2014
I was told by a local that they still regard this hill as the true top of Dorset... so I went up it before moving on to Lewesdon Hill.bolton22/03/2014

Climbed with my daughter Isabelle from the road. We set off in the gloaming at about 4.15pm. It was a quick up and back and the ground conditions were excellent compared to the Lewesdon Hill. This is the sort of place that would be great for a summer picnic.isabelle04/01/2013
