From the large A82 layby, under the railway line, over the bridge and along the track to the minor track dropping to the bridge just beyond the forest edge. Up on intermittent paths and boggy ground to the better path on the ridge line, continuing on that path to the summit. Descended on the path closer to the forest edge, but very boggy in places. | LizH | 31/10/2023 |
From the big layby on the A82, over the footbridge on the 1:25000 map. | Pete R | 16/09/2023 |
Parked in the large layby on A82 to the NW. Followed the River Falloch track. Crossed river and rising traverse onto the Grey Height ridge to Meall Dhamh. As the path began to steeply zig zag up the W side of Cruach Ardrain, contoured around about 880m contour above the crags and steep gullies to the S ridge to bag Beinn Tulaichean, returning for Cruach Ardrain's SW and main tops. The plan was to go onto Stob Garbh but the initial descent off CA looked too challenging for us so we backtracked to Meall Dhamh followed the good path to the wood edge and down to the footbridge Enjoyable hot day with good views all round.
