There is not a ferry from Inverbeg now, so longer ferry from Tarbet. Glorious day, up tourist, down ptarmigan. The company (D, N, J, I) and weather meant regular stops for drinks, photos, views, so a slow day, but fantastic! Hot sun back at the Lodge and beautiful return on the ferry.callumorr01/08/2016

Always climbed with Ben Lomond, I prefer to ascend via Ptarmigan Ridge though one or twice I've come down this way.AndyBlair197211/09/2004
Cont'd over the top to descend the steeper north ridge, which was made more interesting by the very strong wind. However at the col the wind died down. The top of this CT was made in a just a few minutes. It was then down hill to the shores of Loch Lomondgaryhoney23/07/2004
