From the Succoth car park, directly up the old pipe path, which is more like a burn than a path for much of its course. Once out of the forest it improved to a well made stepped path before petering out as we neared Cruach nam Miseag. Under glorious sun, blue sky and snow conditions we carried on to Bheinn Narnain, then headed north east across the wide ridge tops of Creag Tharsuinn, A' Chrois West Top then main top. The way down the SW flank was aided by finding a 4WD track, which led us back to the top of the pipe track. 5 hrs total. Icy conditions in places. great walk. | summitter | 28/11/2021 |
From Ardgarten, along forestry tracks then steep and rough ascent onto the east ridge. Followed by Narnain and the Cobbler | Iloveducks | 09/07/2021 |
Walked from our let by Ben Arthur's bothy via Succoth on path by burn(NB it veers N btw the 2 forest roads). The relentless ascent continued following ATV tracks a bit but what was that about a marked path? We just made our way to/from Sron nan Eun- by different routes up and down- where it became easier to find our way up after all the hummocks and knolls below. We found this hill rougher than expected. The slopes were also the least snowy. For these reasons we omitted Creag Tarsuinn which was seriously in the freezer and we didn't have our ice axes etc. Fabulous sunny clear day. From the dam we returned by the track across to the new path that leads to the Narnian boulders for a gentle descent. With Pete. This was my 1200th Tump. | pwheeler | 20/03/2020 |
Descent a pleasant descent despite wet weather. Vegetation heavy but not as tussocky as some other hills in area. The marked path was ok to start with once joined but very slippy walk further down. | Oh no I forgot... | 28/08/2019 |
