Great hike for the stag do. Started at the Rowardennan hotel doing the classic anticlockwise loop heading east and up onto Sron Aoniach and up to Ben Lomond. Had some fun stag 'treasure hut' on the way (marriage advice, stones that look like Beth, beer on the trig etc). Then dropped NW the interesting way back, slightly technical. Had a swim in the tarn on Ptarmigan and eventually reaching the Loch for a skinny dip followed by a meal in Drymen. With the stag crew (losing Sammy about ⅓ up). Windy but no rain and very good vis!ByronHaywood08/07/2023

With M. Second ascent, 39 years after the first. From Rowardennan, up the tourist route and down the Ptarmigan ridge. Nice weather, a bit windy at the top. Very busy on the ascent (much more so than the first ascent!) - the tourist route has been extensively repaired almost all the way to the summit - essential given amount of use it is getting.douglas_easton29/05/2022

Alone on top after 5:30pm. Took steep NE ridge down to Comer for the first time. Pair of golden eagles gliding around ridge, one quite close. Route superb high up but very rough and lumpy lower down. Farm at Comer now deserted.alda02/04/2021
Lovely day for it. Went up the tourist path and was fine until I got within a thousand feet of the top. Once I got to the top, a blizzard blew me down the Ptarmigan path until I got to the valley between Lomond and the Ptarmigan. After that it was a twisty way down.JAdair9702/12/2020
With Nicky Creadland and Tricia Teeling, we followed the WalkHighlands route, up the Tourist path and down Ptarmigan Ridge, 6hrs all in. Blue skies and sunshine throughout, no snow on Ben Lomond, but all the hills north of Crianlarich has a decent covering of snow. this was my 150th Munro since August 2016 and 42nd for the year.chillyman819/11/2020
