Clockwise traverse of Beinn Aligin and the Horns. Sunny with little wind. Cloud above the summits all day | geoffh12 | 12/09/2023 |
With CB and Gillian. | JDBowers | 05/06/2023 |
Up to Tom na Gruagaich I was lucky as top 50 metres was above the cloud. Superb views across a sea of white to any high summits. Back into the clag on route to Sgurr Mir but again top was clear and I had both summits to myself. Headed down and over the Horns and back to the car. Amazing early morning walk. Time taken 5 hours 15 minutes including a lot of stops. Distance 7 miles for 3672 feet of ascent. | isabelle | 05/06/2023 |
With Eve. Climbed after the two Beinn Alligin munros. At the bottom of the col the first horn stands imposingly above but the scrambling was relatively straightforward and is scaled quickly. The second horn is even quicker and much shorter. No trouble in the descent of either, with the use of the reliable '6-point contact'. The third horn had a clearly marked and has a well trodden bypath which we took to avoid a further scramble in the blustery Southerly wind. | RufusHodge | 08/04/2023 |

From the Beinn Alligin car park, up the horns and then onto the munroes | JulieB | 28/08/2020 |
Walked from Torridon along the road until you come to first car park, then up to first Munro Tom na Gruagaich, then along to second Munro Sgurr Mhor and down via the Horns of Alligin. Weather, some heavy rain at first with fairly strong wind, before clearing on Sgurr Mhor and though some cloud still around, weather got better and better. Excellent walk. | Fell_wanderer | 12/09/2019 |
Route: Parking near Torridon Hotel Coire MhicNobaill Na Rathanan Far East Top Na Rathanan East Top Na Rathanan Sgurr Mhor Sgurr Mhor West Top Tom na Gruagaich Tom na Gruagaich West Top Coire nan Laogh parking. Stats: 5hrs55, 11.2km, 1,297m ascent. Weather: hot & sunny. Notes: glorious scrambling along the horns of Na Rathanan ridge; excellent views from Munros. | millionmts | 07/09/2019 |
With: hb; From the car park, walked up Coire MhicNobaill, crossed the two bridges then scrambled up the south east ridge to the Horns (Na Rathanan). Supern scrambling over the horns in glorious sunshine, being followed by the beast od Alligin (a Collie which chose the stay with us rather than return to its owners who were half an hour behind us!). We descended to the bealach then walked up to Sgurr Mhor where we had lunch. We looked down impressive Eag Dhubh (Black cleft) on the path across to Tom nan Gruagaich. The descent path down Coire nan Laogh was tedious but gave good views back to start. This was a superb walk after so much rain. The paths have changed out of all recognition since my first visit in 1978. | Ian Baines | 29/05/2019 |

Beinn Alligin round as part of Winter Mountaineering and skills course led by Kevin O'Neal and with Al Simpson. 3nd of the 3 horns as a prelude to the 2 Munros. All 3 significant summits but this is only Corbet Top of Munro. The first horn does not qualify the 2nd horn - just a sub Corbett Top | mntainman | 03/02/2015 |

Traverse of Beinn Alligin with a friend. We parked at the car park where the road crosses Abhainn Coire Mhic Nobuil. We walked up the path on the east side of this burn and the path going near the Allt a' Bhealaich. At the path end we climbed to the top of the Na Rathanan (Horns of Alligin). We continued to the summit of Sgùrr Mòr, past the top of Eag Dhuibh (cleft) and then the summit of Tom na Gruagaich. Descended the SSE ridge back to the car park. | pwbellarby | 24/09/2000 |
