Solo fr Achnashellach after driving up overnight in new Smart car; solid blue sky, clear tops, enough snow to decorate the hills! Frozen underfoot, a few treacherous bits here and on way down to col before Sgorr Ruadh, crossing path near lochan. Running in microspikes, delightful.NorfolkPT2114/02/2017
On descent to the lochans, pretty route down between the two.nickywood108/06/2016
Summit 6 of 13 from Achnashellach station. From Ruadh col. Spied a nice looking direct scramble but bottled out: a bit damp and holds not quite positive enough for remote solo scramble.RHW15/06/2015

Cairngorm Club meet at Gerry Howkin's, Achnashellach. Solo. From Achnashellach. After climbing Fuar Tholl and Sgorr Ruadh. Visibility was now very poor. From summit of Sgorr Ruadh went along NW ridge. Visibility was now very poor. Near small lochan met two fellow club members going round the other way. Descended NE to pass another small lochan. At east end of the lochan found a way up through small cliffs to reach a minor top (subsequently identified as Beinn Liath Mhòr South Top) and then a lochan at the col beyond. Took a leftwards ramp going up to avoid crags with some scrambling and ascended to the summit of Beinn Liath Mhòr.pwbellarby02/03/1996
