#11 of 15 from Inverlael on a pleasant cool day of low cloud. Cairn on outcropRHW11/06/2016
Solo. From Inverlael. There is much tree felling work, work on Ullapool water supply and the making of a hydro-electric scheme going on. I walked on a track on the south side of River Lael, crossing the river at the ruin of Glensguaib. I went up the path, now a logging track, through the forest NE of Glensguaib, now mostly felled. Above the forest the path (as per map) is at first a rather disused track. Once it starts to go down towards Allt Gleann a'Mhadaidh it becomes a path. The path goes generally eastwards to cross a watershed to Coire an Lochain Sgeirich. I left the path and went ENE to the summit of Meall Glac an Ruighe. The summit is marked by a single, medium sized stone. Another nearby point was reached, having a small stone to mark it. This could be higher but probably is not.
