From Glen Brittle Memorial Hut, good track leads up into Coir' a' Ghrunnda, gets a bit scrambly taking a CW route around the loch but nothing difficult. Final top on a traverse of this end of the ridge. Steep scree slope down to 220m contour to pick up the unmapped track back.jonglew01/10/2019

YES! Winter Cuillin Ridge traverse completed on this peak after 3 days and 2 bivis on the ridge with Martin Sluce. An adventure like few others and a privilege to have caught the ridge in excellent winter conditions. But now the weather had turned nasty -wind and cloud and now in the dark at 5pm. 2 and half awakward hours to descend to Corruisk, and then began tramping the 7 miles back to the car at Sligachan. Exhausted - bivi'd half way on the heather in pouring rain (thank goodness for goretex bivi bags)I slept right through -awoke slightly soggy -walked out -rang work in Sheffield to 'request' an extra days leave and had a slap up breakfast at the Broadford Hotel as their only guests !Chris Pearson18/02/1991

The Main Cuillin Ridge in 1 day. With Robin Howie. We left Glen Brittle Camp Site at 03:30. We went too far along the path to Coiruisg so a little time was lost. We reached the main ridge a little on the seaward side of Gars-bheinn. There was a superb view in the early morning sun on reaching the ridge looking towards Coiruisg. Gars-bheinn was reached at 06:25; we left the summit at 06:35 and on to Sgurr nan Eag, Caisteal a’ Garbh-Choire, and Sgurr Dubh na Da Bheinn. Time was lost in Thearlaich-Dubh gap. We abseiled down into the gap and climbed up the other side. We continued and succeeded in reaching Sgurr nan Gillean at 23:00.pwbellarby20/06/1986
