Amble up Beinn-y-Phott from the lay-by. Lost the path to start and had to cross a small ditch. Found the path and it was easy going to the top. Very windy (45mph+?) on top. Small cairn provided some shelter. Good views around the Island but low sun and very hazy. Snaefell in the clag at times. Start of path by lay by is blocked by wooden fence which has to be circled / climbed.Jonnyiom23/12/2019
5 mile walk from near junction of A18 and B10, walked along B10 to Millennium Way then headed south and followed little trail onto Carraghan, from there headed back to path then up trail onto Beinn-Y-Phott, ate lunch just below summit out of the bitingly cold wind, from here headed back to car then went there-and-back onto featureless Mullagh Ouyr. Perfectly clear and sunny, could see a long way from Merrick in the north to Holyhead Mountain in the south, from Slieve Donard to the west to the Forest of Bowland east. A few people about. Earlier that day bagged Snaefell, Clagh Ouyr, Beinn Rein and North Barrule in equally good but less windy conditions.DanTrig20/10/2019

8th tump of 10 on a 35.4km route from Braaid to Laxey, climbing The Mount, Slieau Chiarn, Archallagan Hill, Slieau Ruy, Colden, Slieau Maggle and Carraghan, descending Nne then North and NE to climb to the top, recording 554m @ SC 38108 86024 (unusual for my GPs to be 10m adrift). Onwards to the road junction at Brandywell, heading for Mullagh Ouyr...Dazingdale20/07/2018
Parked at start of wide vehicle track, a Greenway Road, at 366863 (not shown on 1:50,000 map) - Up track to col at 372858 & then followed good tracks & path to summit cairn. Continued to Carraghan. (PM)gerrybowes07/02/2018

Started walk on B10 at SC 36588 86296. Walked along Millennium track to a wall across the track. Turned R and followed path to summit of Carraghan. Back down to Millennium track and back towards road. Branched off R on a path to top of Beinn-y Phott. Down on path to B10 at SC 38924 85888. Turned L on A18 to Bungalow. Turned L and up to top of Snaefell, good path. Down to A18 at Black Hut. Vague path. Crossed road and up on path to Clagh Ouyr. Along ridge on path and a section of duck boarding to Beinn Rein and then North Barrule. Continued on path downwards. Eventually lost it and came out at corner of a minor road and track to Park Lewellyn. Cloud down all way until coming down Beinn-y-Phott, Snaefell in cloud but dropped out coming down to Black Hut. High winds most of the day. Good walk.MikeM11/09/2015

Walk with the dogs after work, the hill is currently sheep free. Parked at the layby on the Brandywell Road and made the relatively easy walk to the stone cairn on top. Good path, soggy in places, summit has clear views of the Island.dreeder7522/07/2015
