Parking area to N of hill by old quarry W of Plas Norway, at top of hair-pin bends. B/way SW curves around to S and up to col where it joins huge path. Moel y Gaer first then on to Moel Morfydd.Aye Jimmy14/01/2018
10.1 mile walk from car park near Berwyn Station, walked along minor road to Rhewl then climbed up good path near Cymmo Farm across fern slopes onto Graig-Ddu (for first time) then climbed obvious steep tracks onto Moel Morfydd, Moel.Y.Gaer and Moel.Y.Gamelin (bagged these 3 previously in 2010) and along little trails through ferns onto Maesyrychen Mountains (first time) and followed paths back to road near Llantysilio farm, turned left along more minor road and across field paths to Coed Hyrddyn (first time) along this nice little hill back to car park, overcast with brief bursts of sun, then drove home just beating the bank holiday rush.DanTrig25/08/2017

3 of 4 hills on a walk in the Llantysilio Mountain group. The top were very much in the clouds with a very strong wind from the west. Climbed with Sarahs.Bernard21/02/2017
From Ponderosa. Straightforward. Return via top of Moel y Gamelin involved a steep pull upwards.trimarc201/02/2017
Road side parking near church ENE of Rhewl. Graig-ddu, Moel Morfydd grassy track soon becomes a stoney scar on the landscape all the way to Moel y Faen and unforgiving in today's hot windless weather, Moel y Gaer, Moel y Gamelin, Moel y Faen, Maesyrychen Mountain.ijpowell15/09/2016
Continuation of walk from Moel Morfydd. Headed east on the wide eroded track steeply down to a bwlch, then up the the summit, detouring to visit the summit of Pt. 497m on the way. To return, headed east to the bwlch, then took Clwydian Way down south into the vale and back west along the lane to the Sun Inn in Rhewl. Solo.marktrengove05/08/2016

Glyndyfrdwy to Coedpoeth. Pleasant enough top dominated by the hills either side. Gamelin looks intimidating from here. The hideous eroded tracks are lethal when wet - I ended up on my bum a few times.Jake99408/04/2016
Parked opposite the Ponderosa Cafe at 1925 4809 - W along minor road to Plas Norway & then along bridleway to minor road at 1491 4603 - Up road for about 80m & then ATV track to summit of Moel Morfydd - Moel y Gaer - Moel y Gamelin - Moel y Faen - Ponderosa Cafe. Total distance 11½km (S)gerrybowes09/02/2016
Walked up from chapel in Rhewl with easy parking up steep road then track on Clywdian Way to col then west to Moel Y Gaer then on to Moel Morfydd, then down and up to Graig Ddu ( bracken thrash) then on overgrown path by convoluted route back to road by the River Dee.Mark Sims19/10/2015

Climbed as part of a circular from the Dee valley way. Again great views. Pity about the 4WD tracks. Saw a flock of redwings as i was climbing up. Great moody light on this day. Can see the Clwydian hills all in a line from here.Dazingdale30/10/2013

Moel y Faen, Moel y Gamelin, Moel y Gaer and Moel Morfydd from Horseshoe pass with DS RS & WS.Fred Windsor15/02/2013
Parked NW quite easily. Took 'road' until it stops at the gate where the footpath crosses left and right. Easy to take the wrong path across the pasture fields. Recommend making a waypoint to follow or else its bits of paths and heather.destaylor10/01/2013
