Parked the car to the East at the road junction 76221 43705 and walked down the road to Llyn Dubach and using the track climbed Y Garnedd, continuing over to its North top and on to Lyln Bryn du to climb up Y Gamallt. From here I crossed rough ground to reach the minor road north of the car to find the foot path up to Llyn Conwy, before the building on its shores I followed the wall up to Pen y Bedw. From here the ground got rough and boggy over to Foel Boeth and dropping to the the track at the South end of Llyn Conwy following this to the road and back to the car. Fourteen mile in just over Seven hours. | WAYNE ROWLETT | 19/03/2022 |

A circuit of these lovely hills from the parking area by Lyn Dubach (SH 746 423). First visited Y Garnedd , then across to Y Garnedd North Top, past the shooting box and between the two lakes, then up Y Clochdy and onto the magnificent ridge of Y Gamallt. What a stunning location, never been before as no Nuttalls in this area, but reminded me of wild Loch Loyal and the far north. Superb!! Helped by the stunning September day. Quick return down the ridge to the cart track and the B4407 to Lyn Dubach. 8.5km, with 400m ascent in 2 h 30m. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 20/09/2020 |
With Rufus from Llyn Dubach, summits of Moel Gamallt, Moel Wnog and both tops of Craig y Garreg Lwyd. Took quarry track between Carreg y Foel Gron and Y Garnedd, made a beeline straight to Moel Gamallt. Walked N to pick up faint track along wall W to a good track heading S to near the summit of Moel Wnog. Vehicle track and quarry incline to Craig y Garred Lwyd and a simple walk back towards Carreg y Foel Gron. | jacobrichmond | 26/03/2020 |

From Y Garnedd across what could be boggy ground but reasonably dry conditions for me. You only really see the true profile of this hill from the north when on Graig Goch. With Henry. | bolton | 20/06/2017 |

Carreg y Foel Gron, Y Garnedd, Y Gamallt, Y Garnedd N Top, Moel Wnog, Craig y Garreg Lwyd and Craig y Garreg Lwyd W Top. Some paths but mostly pathless but not too bad underfoot. 8 miles, 3h 30. | clivevilla | 01/05/2017 |
Tried to park at entrance to track at SH75332 43029, couldn't so drove along the track to the end. Perfectly good turning circle there. Followed path and quod bike track to foot of Y Gamalt ridge and climbed up on good path to the cairn on the top. Continued on less of a path until a broad valley was reached to the N. Down valley side and along bottom.Out into heather when path disappeared. Reached fishing lodge at SH74520 44333 then on to top of Y Garnedd NT. Again dropped down into a valley (wet) and then up to top of Y Garnedd. Last bit quite steep. Followed ridge down to NE and eventually cut across knee deep heather for 1/3 mile back to car. Couple of barbed wire fences to negotiate. One where BW strand had gone and the other using a gate. Ground generally soaked but a good walk all the same. | MikeM | 19/01/2017 |
Off-road parking immediately south of Llyn Dubach & up quarry track to Y Garnedd Using occasional faint paths/sheep trods, made way across to gate at 746439 & then a short climb to the unmarked summit mound. Continued to Y Gamallt. (S) | gerrybowes | 07/01/2017 |
Continuation of walk from Moel Wnog. Followed craggy ridge north-east to Pt. 477m, then fence north-east then south to Llynnau Gamallt past angler's hut. Then a very rough pathless ascent to the summit. Walk continued to Y Garnedd. Solo. | Man of Kernow1 | 01/11/2015 |
