From CP close to Llyn Vernwy followed tracks up W side of Afon Cedig northwards and like WR straight to the top. Return the same. Evening walk.Moorponder19/06/2023

Parked at the Old Village car park. Walked up the trail past Cedig, now with a static caravan outside and private property notice on the door. Headed up the trods after the second stream. Headed first for Trawsnant, then back to Cyrniau y Llyn, before dropping down to cross Afon Cedid by the bridge at Hafoty Cedig. I then went back to the wood, and took the first track up which cannot be advised due to being churned up mud from the forestry operation, and then a fight through the trees + brambles to get out of the forest. There must be a better way! Once out of the forest, headed for Rhwng y Ddwynant initially by the rubble road to 984 244, then by the ATV track all the way to the summit. The route to the sub Dewey Garreg Wen looked to be an intimidating heather bash, but located a small track which starts from the way off Rhwng y Ddwynant and goes all the way to the summit of Garreg Wen. Returned to the wood and followed a splendid forest road all the way back to the car park. silveracorn_alan14/04/2023
From the parking area to the South East at 00007 21429, Forest track due North then at 99453 24198 headed West for Rhwng y Ddwynant, returned to the initial track then headed East for Cyrniau y Llyn, Nine mile in Three and half hours.WAYNE ROWLETT19/11/2022

Both summits. 29km circuit from Pennant Melangell; after Garreg Wen, Then to Cyrniau - approx beeline with easy river crossingRHW24/11/2018
Heather/grass moorland summit with several rises, the most NW'ly the highest by Abney both ways.RichardM24/11/2018
Circuit of Cyrniay y Llyn, Trawsnant, Garreg Wen and Rhwng y Ddwynant from the car park on Lake Vyrnwy. About 4 hours. Mostly OK but it has been dry. I suspect that much of the pathless part might not be so good after a wetter period.clivevilla18/07/2018

W. from summit of Cyrniau y Llyn to cross the Afon Cedig at N. edge of forest - Over BW fence & then over padlocked gate to forest track - S. along track for about 400m to junction at 994242 - Sharp right & then up tracks to bend at 983245 - Faint ATV track to within 20m or so of the unmarked summit. From Cyrniau y Llyn. Descended direct to cross river at forestry edge. An old telegraph pole over the water was tempting. But being on my own and not 15 anymore though better. Dont know how many times I have to remind myself the brown stones are almost alwats slippery. So after practically sitting in river I then cut myself on the barbed wire. Idiot. Track leads to within a km or so and theres a quad track all the way. Weather station is dead. The view is an absolute cracker. A long way..but worth it. A mountain bike would make this an even better trip.stig_nest24/05/2016
Anti clockwise on tracks from Ty-uchaf. Pleasant walk with only ATV track to close to the summit so no heather bashing either! Some old masts just short of the top in disrepair.SS19/07/2015
Continuation of walk from Cyrniau y Llyn. Dropped down west to ford Afon Cedig just north of forest edge. Then took forest road south to SH 99449 24203, where a path zig-zags up through the forest to join a wider track at SH 99274 24215. Followed this up west to SH 98392 24502, and then took a faint ATV track up through the heather to the west top of Rhwng y Ddwynant past an anemometer. Then visited east top. To return, took track down to forest, then various forest roads and tracks down past Ty-uchaf tearoom to road, and back to car. Solo.Man of Kernow118/07/2015
3428 and 3409. Easy parking south. Good easy track/path. With about 600m before summit of 3428 took the north side of the stream on reasonable path then bits to summit. Next to no heather. Descended to cross valley at end of forest to north. Set off direct for 3409 - mistake. Started on grass then deteriorated to OK heather then knee high heather. Hard work. Should have gone through the gate into the forest then followed track.destaylor03/07/2015
Surprisingly lacks summit indication considering the amount of weather reading equipment scattered around the wider vicinity.Martin R03/01/2013
Start~ Car Park. 000214. Climbed direct from Ty-uchaf farm. Not recommended, death by heather! returned on forest track to Ty-uchaf, much better. With Wombourne.steve hudson29/11/2006
force route thru trees then desparate heather, better would be to go R over bridge then follow trail marked onto hill, dull route to dull summit. from bridge N of rhiwargor 125:963246 RHW12/09/1998
