2nd hill of 12 on a 28km circuit from Llanarmon D.C, after Mynydd Bach I descended to Track to the Wnw via ford then climbed up continuing on Fp although it does not always show on the ground till I got to the open access land then followed track that winds up just East of the Trig pillar then fairly easily moved across past the Trig pillar to the high point. Thank goodness for the Grid reference. Descent Sw via fence pushing past the Gorse at Graig Fawr to reach footbridge onto track, heading for Pen-yr-eryr...Dazingdale09/03/2024
Car near Fron Heulog West to Bwlch y Dolydd. Up the fences and rough stuff to the top. Down more direct. Good trousers along fences in access land to meet RoW at Tyddyn Bychan.Moorponder22/06/2023

From SE, drove as far as could from LDC, lots of young grouse. Up track then FP by fence to stile. Good track for a way then through heather to HP. Back via trig. Mynydd Bach done on way back.PeterD13/08/2021
Bryn Du from SJ 170 370. Up the RoW to the open access land, then along good tracks nearly to the Trig and HP. Back the same way. Parking is difficult, after looking for a suitable place I left the car on a bit of wider verge at SJ 179 371, then walked along the road to the real start at Ty-du. A round trip of 9km with 330m ascent in 2h20m. (S)silveracorn_alan11/08/2021
Large parking area at 165383. SW to the road and then south up an old track to a gate. Generally followed the fence although an old track to the north of the fence proved useful after the 2nd plantation. Plenty of gates to get over on this walk of 5.6 miles. Solo.bolton26/05/2021
Parked to the SE in pull-in in unmade lane SJ157336. After Mynydd Bach - return to Upper Ceiriog Way - Northwards - then head NW to summit on tracks and cut heather from SJ156349.David Evans16/12/2019
6/6 - long round from road at Nant y Dramwys Wood - cold. I/M rain. Weather deteriorated after dark - more heather. At least the rain stoppedwychwood15/11/2019
Climbed from north east. No parking space at end of lane/forest entrance or anywhere else along the lane, even for my small car. Could have maybe chanced it at the junction by the church, but instead I turned off at the junction and headed towards Hen Hafod farm. At grid ref 166 370 (just past end of yellow road on the map) found a very large grass verge near a gate. Plenty of room to park at far end away from gate and I don't think it would cause any inconvenience to the farmer. After leaving Upper Ceiriog Way the tracks were moderately visible and provided fair walking almost to the sumit. A couple of nice groups of Whinchats on way up and down made an otherwise uninteresting walk more pleasant.ijpowell13/07/2019
A long slog from Llanarmon DC, the walk was rather fun in that trying to navigate your way through a bog kind of waygreboicus25/05/2019
From mynydd Bach. Heather bash, actually met some people on this obscure Berwyn top. Took a little detour to look at Craig fawr which offers a stunning view into the Berwyntumpawumpa18/04/2019

Parked the car in the Ceiriog Forest at SJ 16647 38268. Followed PROW to Fron Heulog. Crossed road and up track to Tyddyn Bychan. Continued on track to high point and then turned R and went to trig point and then top of Bryn-Du. Top 270 metres from track. Dropped down through heather to PROW that runs NW past Nurse Uchaf to forest track. Followed track NE and then N to where it meets the N Berwyn Way. Turned R and followed good path to top of Vivod Mountain. Top at the other side of the fence this way. Reversed N Berwyn Way to a few metres past first fence going off L. There is an old fire break. Followed this to a forest track. Turned L. Followed track down to a T junction. R here and followed to a good track and back to the car.MikeM20/10/2016
Parked near end of minor road (badly pot-holed in places) in Ceiriog Forest at SJ16642 38262 - SW along public footpath & then down bridleway to Ty’n-y-Clwt - S up bridleway & ancient trackway to gate at 162366 - S side of fence & then ATV track to within 250m of unmarked summit. From Llarmon DG. Path comes and goes once you leave the main track near the end of the woods. Summit photo is a bit misleading as the summit is not the trig but is about 100 yards away.clivevilla07/08/2015

From Mynydd Bach. Once off the main northerly path the going was quite tough through the heather.JohnStoneham08/11/2014
Ascent from Glyn Ceriog using ROW. Very pleasant ascent followed by forest roads to low point. Path hard to find then but fine when on it. The pull to summit was through shoulder deep bracken and Berwyn heather though. Descent was by ROW and road on a warm summer's day.SS04/07/2014
This heathery hill was a bit of a sting in the tail after a long, hot day.Alex C08/07/2013
